Okay explain your case help me understand him?

Please, I don't care if you understand him or not nor will I waste my time talking to a wall. It's pointless.

People hate on him every chance they get because he doesn't fit THEIR view of what a football player should be.

Seems like a hypcritical statement for an opinion board.

How does that differ from anyone else's (or your) opinions posted on this board

on any topic?

For the record, I don't hate Moss; however, he has defined himself with his play and his words (both good and bad). He is one of the most prolific receivers of all time. He was the one that has said that he takes plays off, or does not try hard

when he's not targeted. An NFL safety told me years ago that they read how Moss

came off the line to determine if the play was a pass or run, or if he was a primary target. I guess he was just a hater also. I feel that if he made any attempt for the ball, even if it was uncatchable, then the outcome may have been different. Did you see his effort after the pick? He looked like a kicker avoiding contact. In contrast, guys like Boldin, Davis and Crabtree gave up their bodies on most every play and I grew tremendous respect for them.

I don't care if it's hypocritical or not. People are never openminded when it comes to Randy Moss. Why waste my time?

Funny you mention Boldin. He's been accused of taking off plays as well. Crabtree and Davis as well. Funny how that works.

Just as long as you include yourself in to that statement :D

On the player side and performance in last night's game ...

Biggest winner ... Joe Flacco

Biggest loser ... 49er DB Culliver

So you are saying you know for 100% certainty that Larry Fitzgerald goes hard every single play? You haven't watched every single Larry Fitzgerald play.

First of all, where did I say that?

I said he's in a bad situation in Arizona but you don't see him taking a play, game or even a season off.

How do you feel about Ray Lewis???

Moss is a joke, good reciever but never consistently played to his ability, smoke another Randy!!!! This is a guy who walked off the feild and left his team once, and got kicked off another team. Even if it is HATERS, sometimes you bring the haters on yourself.

This is interesting and I will try to address this and gt my point across about professional athletes. Randy's biggest mistake was not taking plays off, it was him ADMITTING he took plays off. Does that make him worse than some others? No, but it makes him stupid for admitting it in public several years ago. There isn't a player in the NFL that doesn't take plays off from time to time but they aren't ridiculed because they would never admit it.

If you want to talk about receivers all you have to do is watch any running play and you will see receivers taking off the play all the time.

Now as far as Randy walking off the field before the game was over, he wasn't the first and he won't be the last professional athlete to do that. So I wonder what you think of players such as Barry Larkin and Ken Griffey Jr who did the very same when they played for the reds?

What I'm trying to say is I think Randy gets ripped because of the talent he has and doesn't play 100% all the time and it frustrates people because they look at it as wasting talent. Yet the same thing he does is what others do but don't get ripped.

Randy is one of the alltime greats at his position but he gets ripped because he is outspoken.

Just as long as you include yourself in to that statement :D

I've always gone hard for Moss and always will. I am not ashamed to admit that. :D

I noticed a lot of Niners standing around on offense when they didn't have the ball. A perfect example was James' fumble. Three guys never even touched the ground and they were closer to the ball than any Ravens defender.

I also noticed on a play across the middle that Crabtree kept fighting for yards and almost lost the ball. As soon as he caught it Gore stopped running up field. If he does fumble, the Ravens get it because no one from SanFran was trailing.

I'm sure it always happens but I noticed it a lot more with SanFran last night.

I could care less about either team, but I wanted to put myself in that group of people that was somehow hoping for a "fair catch kick" at the end of the game because that is such a rare situation. Even if had played out (short Ravens punt, fair catch, etc.), SF would have probably not tried it with Akers being dinged up and inaccurate lately.

And I said prove he hasn't. You're making a statement based on what you believe about him. Did you watch every snap he played this season? Looking at Fitzgerald's stats I think I could make a good argument about how much effort he gave this season but I didn't see every snap he took so I won't question it.

Don't watch baseball, if they stormed off the feild by themself in a huff because of something that was going wrong on the field shame on them, I would whip my 5 year olds butt for the same thing, even he knows better. Still no response to why Randy Moss is misunderstood?? Cause hate spills??? Like you said haters gonna hate, defend your boy Moss.

I don't have to prove he hasn't. He hasn't been traded and released from darn near every team in the NFL. I can tell you why he had bad numbers this year. Look at the QB play on his team for the easiest answer.

There's a reason moss has went from Minnesota to Oakland to New England to Tennessee, to Minnesota and then to San Fran.

I like Moss and I think he's a good WR. But to say the criticism if him is unfair or that he's just "misunderstood" is silly.

I just watched that 4th down play again, and absolutely that holding should have been called. The whole game was officiated poorly both ways, but you gotta call that one with the game on the line.

I might when I get home. I despise dead end conversations. Nothing worse than taking the time to properly form an argument for a bunch of close minded people. I'd rather gnaw my fingers off my hand.
