I just watched that 4th down play again, and absolutely that holding should have been called. The whole game was officiated poorly both ways, but you gotta call that one with the game on the line.

 

I agree. When you put your hand around the other player's shoulder pads, that is usually an automatic holding call.

 

Despite that, the 49ers have themselves to blame. Kaepernick rolling right thinking run first on three plays (if necessary) gets you the game winning TD.
