This years matchup Morgan scored 29 to Sampson's 19 and they did guard each other. They have been longtime AAU teammates and friends and either would be happy with the other winning the honor.

Hatton can score from anywhere on the floor, get you 40 if you need it, rebound and guard a big. Bolden doesn't score from the block and doesn't rebound. He's scoring from jump shots at the elbow and layups. Brandon is more versatile.

 

Bolden is averaging 18 ppg, 5 apg, 5 rpg, and 3 spg...again, best all around player in the region.

 

5 rpg doesn't agree with your statement that he doesn't rebound. Hatton is also bigger.

 

Bolden is also a 40% 3pt shooter and averages around 5 shots per game from out there.

 

The only thing Brandon has on Bolden right now is size and strength.

His size also prevents him from being as quick as Bolden. His size prevents him from getting as many touches since he can't be the PG. He excels despite not having Bolden's quickness.

Holmes can win without Bolden having a huge scoring night because of how well he distributes the ball.

 

If Campbell has a bad game, It's likely that HC loses.

 

Let's look at it from this angle...if you replace Bolden with Campbell , is Holmes still undefeated right now?

Best player on the only undefeated team in region, Bolden from Holmes.

Maybe it shouldn't be a deciding factor but you know as well as me that it has been an unwritten rule in most years. I just don't think he would garner enough votes if he doesn't get HC to the regional tourney.

It depends on which guy you are backing and you can make a good argument for each of them. Campbell is a very under rated passer IMO. He has really improved this part of his game from last year to this year. As much as Bolden has the ball in his hands i'm actually a little surprised he is only averaging 5 assists a game.

Ask Anderson County about that.....since he scored 30 against them last night, most of which were jumpers. Kristian is averaging 25 points and 6.2 rebounds a game.So now, I ask....Which of them is the best all around player and more deserving of POY in the 8th?

Funny you say that since Morgan has verbally committed to Asbury University and is their top recruit. Fact is you also that you have to have a good ACT score to be able to play ball in college

Oh the HATRED! Don't be haters! Both are very good players and both will play in College! I would take either one of them on my team in a HEARTBEAT! Enjoy watching them play guys and focus on the positive. Maybe we will see them against each other in the Regional Tournament!
