So are UK fans more disappointed in Calipari the Recuiter, who picked these pieces and recruited no depth or in Cal the Coach who can't seem to make his pieces fit?

Not disappointed in Coach Cal at all. We saw the best case scenario last year and the worst case scenario this year. I feel like I would take it with the two years in between that took us to the Elite 8 (who knows what could have happen if they didn't have an off night) and Final Four.

A few weeks/months ago many of us thought that without Harrow playing well this team wouldn't go anywhere. Well, he is playing very well for the most part, but the rest of the guys just aren't getting it done.

It is frustrating, but maybe I'm still on a huge high from last year and it hasn't worn off because I still love watching my Cats.

Nailed it.... Cal misses Shabazz and it hurts. Sure we're spoiled but in his system that kinda miss hurts.

At the end of the day, I think it was probably a blessing in disguise for us. His shadiness scared me.

I can hear it now. Lose one more and you know that there will be a few " Fire Cal" calls and/or post coming in on call in shows and message boards. " He has lost it! , Can't coach". fIRE HIM NOW !!!

In reality they don't have 4 first rounders IMO. Noel and that's it. Oh, they'll probably go first round due to a so called "weak draft". But I predict years of D League for everyone other than Noel.

Just like two of them from last year's team.

UK's 2 starting guards took 29 shots, hitting 11, which was more than the rest of the team combined, committed 9 turnovers and only had 3 total assists.

This team looks like a bunch of guys who came to UK to get drafted instead of playing for a championship and for each other.

Looks more like a team that just doesn't have the overall talent and leadership of the squads since Cal took over...

Jones has an excuse. He's on a team filled with players that play his position(s). Miller doesn't though. He needs to be more aggressive when he has the ball.

Nearly 1/3 of the current NBA plays have spent time in the D - League.

This. It is easy to say they are just there to be drafted when things are not going well. With the exception of Poythress, the other Freshman there are giving it there all. Poythress it is all between his ears. I think his is a lack of effort, but not a matter of being lazy, if that makes sense. I just do not think he understands yet how to go hard and what it means to be aggressive.

That was the concern with Alex all along. It got pushed aside some his senior year because he could physically dominate in high school without much exertion, but he has never had that killer instinct you search for in recruiting. In that regard he was a lot like Harrison Barnes, but Barnes got by with a much higher skill package...

With Alex being nearby here in Clarksville he played just 20 minutes from town last season once and I know others that saw him play. They said the same thing.

Lottery picks from last year have spent time in the D-League (e.g. Marshall).

UK just doesn't have that GO-2 guy right now (Harrow may be the closest person to that).

As I have said before there is one simple flaw in the one and done, rebuild the team every year style and that is a bad recruiting class as a whole. There just wasn't the type of talent in this class to keep the ball rolling, and it is magnified with everyone leaving from the title team. Getting Shabazz or Anthony Bennett might have made things a little different, but overall the talent in the 2012 was way down and building a title contender with any 5 guys was near impossible in this class. Next year, different story...
