January 6, 201313 yr What's your deal about smith? He has been pretty good this year. He got beat some by the same guy who has beaten everyone this year. I honestly thought it was the to old veterans in Andrew and Kyle who struggled the most. I just think he's a statue and has never lived up to a top 10 pick.
January 6, 201313 yr Just woke up as I fell asleep at half time. As I been saying all along, I'll be impressed IF they actually win a playoff game! Not just get to the playoffs! People have said their offfense wasn't there, and they were correct. Not sure what happended in the game and at this point I really don't care, but I am hearing from just the few posts I read is that it wasn't as close as it looked. To me it's like most KHSAA first round games, some teams can't win their first game, and never will. Maybe Marvin will get his first playoff win if the NFL goes forward with expanding the playoffs.
January 6, 201313 yr I think Jim Mora said it best a long time ago "playoffs? are you kidding?,playoffs?" My all time favorite commercial.
January 6, 201313 yr I'm not surprised, the offense has been terrible going on two months. I'm willing to give Dalton another year with a more seasoned Wr corp. Houston dominated the game and won by score at home.
January 6, 201313 yr I think they need a free agent offensive lineman. They are too far behind in the line to wait on another 2 youngsters to develop. I wouldn't mind getting a free agent wide receiver as well. I think next year is a go for it year. Honestly, this year's team overachieved IMO. I never expected them to make the playoffs so I can't scream about the season. But they proved with this year's results they are close enough that it is time make some go for it personnel moves. Maybe Mike Brown's front office can shock us again and make some free agent moves this year.
January 6, 201313 yr I'm not surprised, the offense has been terrible going on two months. I'm willing to give Dalton another year with a more seasoned Wr corp. Houston dominated the game and won by score at home. And if Dalton doesn't overthrow Green they might have won.
January 6, 201313 yr On off, they need a center badly, a change of pace rb who can catch the ball out of the backfield on 3rd down and a healthy number 2 receiver. I am starting to get worried about Dalton but he's still young. On D, they definitely need to replace RM. he got way exposed today as did Clements as a safety. I realize he is not a starter but Crocker isn't getting any younger. This team is close. Whether they have the coaching staff or not is another question
January 6, 201313 yr They played the Gals both times. Not elite wins. Nice try. Exactly. They have two playoff wins because they got to play the Bengals twice.
January 6, 201313 yr The reason why it was close was because the Bengals have a good defense. Bengals are a good team but just not there yet. Defense played good enough to win even though it was not their best performance. They are light years from being "there". If "there" means a dominating elite teams that win playoff games... Now if "there" means getting a six seed and a birth to a wild card game, then you should be happy.
January 6, 201313 yr And yet even more proof that the Bengals have the worst HC in the NFL and that Andy Dalton is horrible. Case Closed.
January 6, 201313 yr It didn't end up hurting them but that time out after first down Marvin called at the end of the first half was dumb. They gave Houston more time to possibly get a FG at the end of the half. Also burning that time out with 4:30 left in the game where you need you would need time outs was brutal.
