Been seeing an ultra runner. She's going to be the death of me. Hit the trails yesterday with her for most of the afternoon/early evening. Got on the track for the first time post-IM this morning. 6 x 800's between 3:25 - 3:30 and it felt pretty dang good considering the trail miles from yesterday.

Also drank a lot of beer this weekend...my legs AND liver are getting Bourbon Chase-ready! :D

I've been slacking the last month. Still have maintained the weight I lost. I have a wedding in a month so I'm trying to drop another 5-8 pounds here in the next few weeks.

I can't wait for beer season to get over. I've never been this popular. Every night there seems like something is going on.

I have "IPA season" and "Stout season" for the most part. One of them is always open...and if not "bourbon season" is in full swing right now anyways. :D
Today we do our last workout of Insanity(with a twist) round two.

We, my brother and I weighed in yesterday.

I am down to 189.2 (Started round one at 228, I believe)

I am down to a 32 pant size(Started out wearing a 38)

We are completely changing up things for round three.

We will be adding some workouts from the Tapout XT two series, along with workouts from Tapout XT.

Hopefully I hit my goal of 180 missed by nine pounds lat time.

But on the good side during the last round I went from a size 36 down the a 32, so I need only to drop one more size to him my ending goal.

Good luck all.

Have not updated much as I have been getting lost in watching football.

We have opted to do the complete Tapout XT2 workout.

Nine weeks of he@@, it makes insanity look like P90X.

workouts START AT 4 A.M. and the schedule is six days a week to start for the first three weeks, and then I believe there is a week where you have two days off and then it's(I think) 28 straight days.

Hopefully I am able to hit the 180 mark(9 pound loss) and a size 31 pant(1 size loss)

I will be again using myfitnesspal.com to count calories.

Good luck all

ATTACK THE FAT!!!

I ran 3.3 miles tonight and actually felt pretty good.

Just did 23 on the bike. Besides the sprint tri it's the first time I've been on my tri bike since Ironman. Felt great!

Week of recovery

Yesterday it was sports cardio from insanity 56 minutes

Today it was fight night from the tap out xt2 series with three pound weighted gloveds(suppose to burn off 15% more calories per workout.

I have been adding hand weights to several of the Insanity exercises like the high/low jabs, plank punches, power strikes, hook squats, etc. I use either 3, 5 or 8 pound weights. Makes a big difference.

Great! I have not gone running outside in months, but this cooler weather is beckoning. So I went out and ran about 2 miles yesterday. It felt good.

The weather right now could not be better for getting outside & exercising. Yet another reason Fall is my favorite season.

Pure Cardio today.

Max interval Plyo yesterday.

Culvers flavor of the day is Chocolate Chip Cheesecake.

Just keep driving. Just keep driving.

Day one

Tap out xt 2

Cross Core Combat 2

66 minutes(rounding up from 65 something)

I used the 3 pound weighted gloves and a 8 pound dumbbell(cheaper and as affective as the medicine ball)

We read where up burn up to 15% more calories with the gloves, so we guessed using the weight it would be close to another 10%.

I will tell you this workout made the Insanity hardest workout look easy.

It was that I was gassed , it was more muscle fatigue then anything. My shirt looked like I had been standing in the rain it was so wet.

There were a couple of moves I did not do, so I ran in place holding the weight while punching with the arm it was in and the other one I did abs.

I do something similar with the weights when they do some of the Insanity moves that I just have not mastered like side push-ups and balance push-ups.
