This morning it was leg day tapoutxt2 version of and it was pretty insane.

A couple of the moves I could not do with my sore knee, but I did things that made me work as much as they were in the video.

Went out for a 20/5 brick workout tonight. Broke the shifter cable on my bike. Became an 18/5.

Biking sucks. Still doing bricks and 1.5-2 hr workouts, eh? You never get out of it.

I made up my own track workout last night.

1200 warmup.

Increase pace by each set

400 fast / 400 slow X 4

300 fast / 300 slow x 4

200 fast / 200 slow x 4

100 fast / 100 slow x 4

400 cooldown

6 miles total

I feel for you guys fighting the fight. I was just told to bump my calories UP to 3,000+. I thought that I would taper in, but apparently not the right idea. Yesterday was rough eating that much.

My first brick post-IM. I have some lofty goals next year. Offseason is over!

That sounds like a tough workout.

So, a week into gorging myself and.....I'm thinning out. I'd like to weigh more for the end of the year, but I can't imagine eating more.

Really enjoying running outside. Just did 4 miles.

Taking a break from the Insanity DVDs, which is probably a good thing because I was getting complacent, not putting in as much effort, looking for short cuts, etc.

I will add that in addition to losing weight, the Insanity workouts got me to a place where I can run again and feel strong the entire distance.

My brother and I have decided to change the schedule on the tapout xt2 workouts.

We are going six on 1 off.

After the workout later today we will have two weeks done.

Back to doing them in the evening.

Randy Parker---come back to the dark side! :lol2: How is the marathon walking? How is the blister?

Just now seeing this hoops.

Still walking & have added a little bit of running. I hate running. Hate it. But I've hit a bit of a wall with dropping the weight, so I've been trying to run a couple of miles as part of my 7.4 mile overall regimen. I knew the weight loss would get slower, but it was a little sooner than I expected. I was at 162 this morning, which is down 35.

Have not had any other blister issues & I think a lot of that has to do with changing shoes.

Last week was a struggle because I had four really late nights. I only exercised 4 days out of 7 last week. Back on track this week, but mentally it's getting tougher to drag my sorry bones out every day/night. If Fall weather would get here once & for all, that would really help.

After spending last week in Europe and most of this week trying to recover I've been out of the loop. I did walk an absolute ton last week site seeing and such but no weights, CrossFit, or my normal work. Hitting CrossFit tonight for the first time, tomorrow should be great.

Did Core Cardio and Balance (with weights). (Insanity DVD)

It was weird. I just felt so bored with it. I just wanted to take off and go running.

My brother and I are in week three of the tapout xt2 programs.

It is going well even though this is the hardest of all the cardio programs we have taken part in.

Going to six on and one off, at our age works best.

No weigh ins until the program is completed nor a I trying on the size 31 jeans until the program is completed.

I have been eating a little more but keeping the calories within my daily goals, minus the one free day we took, so we could have a few adult beverages and junk food. Felt guilty, really guilty I did this.

On Saturday I swam 1.6 miles, biked 70, and ran 16. Still in recovery mode.

Sprained ankle, guess I can kiss my strength quest good bye. Squated 340 twice, and it felt easy. Had 7 weeks to get up to 375 and push for 405. Guess not now. I need a new goal for the end of the year.

This week I ran 4 miles each day, Monday through Thursday. Love this Fall weather!

Today I did Max Cardio Circuit, improvising some of the moves to incorporate weights.

How about the rest of you?

Adidas tent sale starts today at 11am at Turfway Park.

You might find some great deals on running/walking shoes if you can find your size---and if you can deal with the lines.

(If you go, pack a lunch. And bring a book to read. :lol2:)
