Also in addition to the above this month is also my second year of Sober October which I came up with last year when I decided it was time to start getting back into shape. I haven't drank anything but water or milk this month.

Over half way there.

Pretty much in taper mode right now. For us Ultra Distance triathletes, it is still a demanding schedule.

Sunday: Ran 8 miles at 7:52 pace. Includes walking at every mile mark. I was holding a solid 7:20-7:30 while I was running and felt fine.

Monday: 1 Hour swim, 40 mile bike, and 1 hour boot camp class. 4.5 hours total. I was spent.

Tuesday: Rest

Wednesday: 1 hour swim. 6 mile track workout.

Thursday: 18-20 Bike ride tonight. The darkness kills the biking.

I need to squeeze in a 13 mile run sometime this weekend which will conclude any of my "longer" type stuff leading up to the November 2nd race.

Over half way there.

And it's been cake, probably going to extend it until the week before Thanksgiving when the new Xbox one comes out, then I'm going to be a kid and and an adult for a weekend or two.

Over half way there.

duplicate post.

On side note, I also went ahead and wrote out my end of work out cardio for the next month. Three day rotations of running, swimming and rowing. It's on like donkey kong.

You all are doing great! Keep it up!

If you're looking for a leg burner try Bring Sally Up. Basically pick a weight to squat, rack it on back, put on the song Bring Sally Up. Every time they say bring Sally down, squat and hold until they say bring Sally up. Continue until the song is over. I suggest keeping it light. There's some good videos on YouTube of it.

Ran 4 miles Monday

Walked 6 miles today. Then Pure Cardio DVD.

Tomorrow run 4+ weather permitting. Or Max cardio. DVD

Need some motivation from you guys! Please check in!

Ran the BC at a pace of 7:08. The fastest leg was 4.5 miles at a 7:01 pace! Gf talked me into a 5K this weekend to see my time. Haven't ran a standalone 5K in a few years. Current PR is 23:58 in a sprint tri. Hoping to shave at least a minute off of that but it's in Bernheim so it will be HILLY.

Also just finished the Bourbon Chase. Got 2 Halfs coming up in November (Shakertown and Renfro Valley) and my first full marathon (Disney) in January. A lot of running in the near future.

Tapering down. Florida Ironman upcoming in 12 days.

Good the shins are healing up switching to rotating days of cardio at the end of the workout has helped. Ran yesterday, today was swimming laps and tomorrow will be 5000 meters on the row machine. Then a day off and do it all over again the next 3 days.

I'm feeling pretty darn good and definitely will be extending my water and milk only drink diet throughout most of most of November. I got a call today from the police department I've been going through the motions with for over 6 months now and it's time to finally start the next phase of the hiring process. Life is good!
