Here you go Randy, I will make a workout for you real quick.

Get you a timer (or watch a clock) and set it to run for 45 seconds, 15 second rest, then start again.

Do the following as many times as possible within your 45 seconds. If you have to take a break, do so quickly and jump back on-board:

Set 1

Pushups

Air Squats

Chair Dips

Front Lunges (alternate legs)

Hold a Forearm Plank (or pushup) Position

Squat Jumps

Rest for 1 minute, grab some water, and repeat 2 more times. (21 minutes total)

Set 2

Wide Arm Pushups

Reverse Lunges (alternate legs)

Side plank on one side for 15 seconds, alternate sides

High Knees in place

Pushups (up for 4 seconds, hold the down position for 4 seconds)

Side Lunges

Rest for 1 minute, grab some water, and repeat 2 more times. (21 minutes total)

42 total minutes.

I'm obviously not reading the previous 70 pages of this thread, but I've had some success (31 pounds since June 1) so thought I'd share what I was doing in case it helps anyone else.

My program has been two-fold:

* I use the "My Fitness Pal" app on my iPhone (sorry if someone else mentioned it) and everything I eat (or do for exercise) goes into it. Everything. It has been a life-changer. You have to be serious about it, don't let anything go into your mouth and not go on there, but it will also do a great job to hold you accountable as you see it in writing. You'll get to the point where you'll talk yourself out of the 300 calorie snack instead of typing it in and having to see it. Plus, as you exercise, it shows you the impact and what you're burning. Literally has changed my life and isn't a major life-change.

* I do a jump-rope routine every night with a heavy rope. It is a stair-step up and stair-step down circuit, and involves both forward and backward jumping. I know not everyone can do jump rope due to knees or back issues, but if you can, it is great for your core (and many other areas).

Good luck everyone.

Ah, I see. Basically, the Insanity program.

If I have to look at Shawn T one more time in my life, I'm going to punch a hole in my television.

Thanks for the help, everyone.

I get it.

No need for burpees!

The walking is working for you so hard to switch it up.

Also, I think you might need 2 things for the blister. Something to put over it to cover while it heals. Then an insert for the back of your shoe to prevent more blisters.

RP needs burpees! SOLID workout though. May do it myself tonight.

^ RP needs burpees like he needs meat loaf.

Well, I just put in another 7.4 miles & didn't feel a thing today. To begin with, I wore different shoes--switched from the Zigs to some newer Air Max. Secondly, upon the advice of my good friend Timberlake, got some of that Moleskin Plus padding. I also bought some kind of blister treatment cushions at CVS for Eleventy Thousand Dollars.

I could have walked 10 miles easy tonight. First time in a long time that I haven't felt any kind of discomfort whatsoever.

Appreciate everyone's help & it was especially nice having a phone chat with FKYT earlier this afternoon. He was kind enough to take time out of his day to call me. Thanks man. :thumb:

One other thing...weighed 167 this morning, so I'm down 30 lbs. Looking to drop another 20 or so.

REALLY glad to hear. And no problem at all man.

Probably had the most productive day in sometime in getting a full day's rest yesterday. Heading out to bike 60 in about half an hour.

The 2 Day Rule:

Never go for more than 2 days without working out.

I took 2 days off. So now it's time to get busy!

Biked 60 and ran 2 miles following. My wife and a couple others pedaled 40 miles before I joined them to complete their century ride. And it is also important to celebrate your fitness endeavors. Now enjoying Redzone while I finished off a glass of wine and some Heinekens. Pedal hard, drink harder. :D Can't get after it too much as I have to be up by 4:45 for swim practice.

I hit the gym after 3 months off from working out. Feeling sore today!

The pain you feel is just weakness leaving the body.

I have no weakness! About to go to the gym for some more! :D

When UK#1 works out, the machines get stronger.
