December 21, 201213 yr Sometime during the morning, we lost connection to our corporate server in Cleveland. It appears to have been a short power failure, not long enough for the generators to kick on, but long enough for the UPSs to engage. I guess one of the UPSs failed taking our DMS server farm off line, which in turn took down our web site. According to upper management, the world did end.

December 21, 201213 yr Yesterday afternoon I was watching one of those "Prophecies of Nostradamus" type shows. They were talking about how the Mayans, the Hopis, etc. were predicting the end of the world. The power in the house flickered twice.
December 21, 201213 yr On the news(CBS) this morning they said it was it was the end of a 5000 year Myan tradition but some ppl misinterpited as for Armageddon which was never the case. Just caused hysteria.
