There is no doubt in my mind, though, that the players will actually be "coached up" like they weren't with the last staff. Agree. This coaching staff does seem to be way way better than the previous staff.(with all due respect to Chuck Smith)

Even if he was a second option for Florida and Ohio State, it feels good to see any kid pick UK over those schools. This is fun!!!

 

I know GT says OSU dropped their offer, but a writer for ESPN basically tweeted the same thing as you said here.

I came away from that very impressed with Ryan Timmons. Seems like a very humble young man. He thanked everyone from his family to his teachers, including his offensive line who blocked for him. And he almost broke down in tears doing it.

 

I hope he had a great career at UK and possibly in the NFL one day.

Who really cares who picked who over who? Even if he didn't pick UK over OSU, he still picked them over the Gators. Fact of the matter is Timmons is a good talent and he's playing his football in Lexington. Please don't poop on our parade with these petty details.

I doubt UK lands him but man that'd be awesome if they did.

Marshall/Wilson/Timmons all would have auditioned for the Harvin role. OSU backed off Timmons hard about a week ago and did fill the need last night.

 

Still UK fans he was an OSU offer at one time, but would have ended up in the Jordan Whiting role more than likely. Win win for both schools.

 

Is it possible that OSU backed away because they wanted an earlier commitment from Timmons and/or were concerned he would eventually choose UK, so they went in another direction?

Van Pelt and the other dude were discussing recruiting this afternoon. SvP was talking about how USC was losing so many commitments and mentioned Hatcher decommiting from USC to go to Kentucky.
