Various sources are reporting that DE Jason Hatcher will sign with Kentucky tomorrow, not #USC.

And then they filled the spot. Keep up...

The one JA mentioned was a RB and Timmons was not recruited as a RB. I didn't see were it was an either or situation, maybe I am slow?

Word coming out is that USC and Hatcher have parted ways. Mom is a UL fan but UK has been coming on the hardest. With the way his recruitment has been going, he could sign with WKU tomorrow and I won't be surprised.

Nice.

USC's decommit class is the best class in the country.

That is funny!

Marshall/Wilson/Timmons all would have auditioned for the Harvin role. OSU backed off Timmons hard about a week ago and did fill the need last night.

Still UK fans he was an OSU offer at one time, but would have ended up in the Jordan Whiting role more than likely. Win win for both schools.

A solid class this far. Man what a difference 2 months have made for UK.

Unbelievable. Like Kyle Tucker and Brett Dawson noted. Two months ago 18,000 people watched Vandy mollywhop UK. Now they have the best UK recruiting class ever. Now time for results on the field.

What has been up with the mutiny thats been going on at USC? They have been losing lots of their top talent. Granted they will still get a highly talented guys but its not what it once was. One has to think that Kiffin won't last too much longer over there.

Rivals says "90% chance" for Hatcher to UK.

Stoops is looking for instant results on the field which is being indicated by the fact that he hit the JC recruits hard. Many new coaches do that to get instant results because they come to the team with experience among other things that already make them better football players. we'll see how he fares in the SEC but I'm optimistic at this point.

To truly gauge his work, we will have to give him at least 3 years and probably 4 to get all of his guys in. Although we should have a pretty good idea on where things are going after the 2nd year most likely...

With Hatcher in the fold, the Cats would have the #22 ranked class. Will probably end up closer to #30 by the time the dust settles, but still an unbelievable job by Stoops and co. Hatcher will mark the 8th recruit ranked 4* by at least one recruiting service this year. The past 3 years combined had roughly 1/2 of that....combined.

Agree on both points. You need JUCO kids to build a good foundation, and it takes a few years to get a program going. It's not like basketball where you can put it together over night, football takes a couple of seasons. You look at all the top programs year in year out, they bring in lots of JUCO's. In many ways I would prefer a talented JUCO over a talented frosh. You need talented frosh to develop and have for the future, but a talented JUCO is going to help you right away (even though you only get two years). Chris Matthews was one of the last instant contributors I can remember UK getting from the JUCO ranks, his game was solid from day one.

Yep! Recruiting is goin nicely, but still have to show results on the field. Stoops & Co are doing tremendous work for a 2 month period. There is no doubt in my mind, though, that the players will actually be "coached up" like they weren't with the last staff. That will be the difference going forward IMHO...can't wait to find out!

I'm cautiously optimistic. Hoping for the best. Expecting the worst.
