I wonder if UK coaches a)knew ahead of time like they did with JoJo Kemp and b)encouraged him to announce today instead of tomorrow so that others on the fence might be more inclined to commit to UK?

 

I doubt it. I believe Timmons had set the February 5th date some time ago.

Good get for the Cats! Now if only they could switch to the Big East........errr........whatever it will be called...........

Read elsewhere that with Timmons UK's class jumps to #29, if they add Hatcher and Timmons, it's up to #22. Of course, other schools will move up and down as well, but having a shot at a top 30 class is pretty incredible if you think about where they were only a couple months ago.

I know as of last Thursday OSU called him a major target.

I've read a couple places that James Hearns may not be out of the picture yet either. Still some debate on how close he actually is to qualifying (if he is even close at all), but if UK can land him and get him eligible that will be an incredible haul for Stoops' first class. Hearns saying he only needs to do good in an Algebra and Spanish II class to qualify, other reports say it's not that simple.

Word coming out is that USC and Hatcher have parted ways. Mom is a UL fan but UK has been coming on the hardest. With the way his recruitment has been going, he could sign with WKU tomorrow and I won't be surprised.
