I thought 9 but I believe I read somewhere in a post on BGP an article that said Mayfield had 10, and that was before today.

Congrats to toothpick, mayfieldfan, coaches,players and fans. For the past 3 year's I have always wondered how anyone could stop JJackson and now when that young man is healthy forget it. Again Congrats on a State Title to Mayfield well deserved. JD

Fairview killed themselves with turnovers. They could have kept it much closer.

 

I agree they could have scored a time or two more but they still were going to get hammered...besides good teams usually force several turnovers a game. Fairview was not in the same class as Mayfield or for that matter Beechwood.

Well, i got to the game, I looked at Fairview warming up, and i said to my buddy, they dont look so awesome to me, I think we got this. About 5 minutes later I hear the Fairview crowd goning nuts and I'm wondering ' Thats alot of excitement just for pregame warmups.' Then, I see why! About 10 behemoth of linemen walked out of the Fairview locker room!! Now I'm thinking, Wow, this could be trouble, and these are'nt the big, fat, slow looking linemen, they looked like athletes as well. Long story short, the Cardinals speed, balanced attack, Johnathan Jackson, Jake Guy, were just too much for the Eagles to handle. I will give props where due, no question the turnovers killed the Eagles, no matter whether they were forced or not it killed Fairview. I think they are definately better than they played. We play them 10 times, we beat them 10 times, just not by 47 every time.
