I tend to trust Kirks opinion more than the average UK fan... Kirk said it was a great hire. KSR is reporting that Stoops will offer FSU's offensive coordinator the same job here. Will be interesting to see if he's willing to leave FSU. Apparently he'd a good recruiter as well.
November 28, 201213 yr Field position played into Florida having a good offensive game. Their longest TD drive was their last one of the game, which covered 56 yards and the others covered 21, 37 and 32 yards. After watching the replay, I have to agree. The turnover differential was the difference in that game, not the defenses.

I was listening to Paul Finebaum earlier and he, along with the voice of the Razorbacks thought this was the dumbest rumor ever. Well, come to find out, it's true (it just interrupted the Maryland/Northwestern basketball game...and, that's a whole 'nother question in itself, why am I watching that? But back to the point). Arkansas gives a dang about football, along with the other powers in the SEC. That is what bothers me, and I'd be much happier about this hire knowing that ole' Mitchy swung for the fences, but he didn't. Kentucky won't ever have the talent on the field that FSU did the other night. They could, though, if they went and got a big time name. FSU would have been the 5th or 6th best team in the SEC this year. My disgust isn't towards Stoops. Not one bit. Mine, is towards the admin.

Hell, Les Miles wouldn't come here for 5 years/30 million.

While we probably will never know my guess is UK went hard after Kirby Smart.
November 28, 201213 yr 244 yards rushing. Your letting one game mess with your opinion on him. Shoot probably the greatest coach of all time in Bill Belichick got fired from a job for not doing well over a couple of season. Yet you are dwelling on one game with him. Not to mention there is no reason to worry about him giving up 244 yards rushing, because he probably wont be calling the defense here. He probably will have someone else doing that for him now. He might not do well at all, however out of the people they were getting down to I am happy that we at least got him. So we will see how he does.
