Just interesting that he tweeted about it and now is going to be at the presser. Given that Stoops is his last name I would think he's well connected so his coaching staff could be the most exciting part of this hire IMO.

Same here PP, I don't like it one bit.

 

Here is what kills me, people didn't want Brent Pease and I'm dang glad he didn't get hired, but some of the same people who didn't want Pease (on other sites) are excited about Stoops' hire? Really? Pease, just waxed FSU and their defense.

 

Another thing, he won't ever have the talent here that he had on the field the other night against Florida. The only way to have that kind of talent would have had to hire a big name hire. And they didn't. Same stuff.

As GT mentioned, he helped Mitch from the beginning. Prior to this, I don't know if he has played any kind of role for the university.

Stoops sounds like he has pretty much the same resume as Joker when he was hired.

 

This is true. However I guess I am more excited about this hire than Joker, because it is needed change. Under Brooks even though they got better, they still at best were just average. So I didn't see that changing with Joker since he already was a big part of that run with Brooks. I wanted to see them have a change that could have gotten them possibly to take another step forward. I think with Stoops that they can get back to what they were with Brooks, and with the possibility of taking another step if he stays after that point.

Presser isn't til Sunday, or that's what I've seen on here. I'd imagine we may not know too many details til then. That may also be so Stoops can work out the details to the questions we both want answers to.

Go check the stats. Florida did better against FSU than they did against damn near every team on their schedule. Awesome.
