And that's what got me excited about the Stoops hire, I figured he'd pull in some good coaches to be on his staff.

I had a few beers last night with a guy that is very good friends with a former UK player who is now and O-line coach at a division 1 program. I was told that Neal Brown had been offered the O-cooridnator job and he had already contacted the o-line coach in question about coming back to UK. From what I was told it sure sounds like Neal Brown will be on staff, we'll see.

 

Neal Brown is a Tony Franklin disciple. Will Barnhart and the boosters support him being on the staff? I sure hope so.

Rumor going around is Coley will come but not as OC. He might be associate head coach and recruiting coordinator while Neal Brown is OC. DJ Eliot is also thought to be coming and will likely be the DC. The more I read about Stoops, the more I love the hire. He has a good track record of recruiting, developing players and all his FSU guys and recruits loved him. Add that great recruiting staff on top of the upgrades and UK football may never be the same again.

Kentucky: I have just learned that former Northwestern State head coach Bradley Dale Peveto is likely to join Mark Stoops' coaching staff at Kentucky. No word yet on the position, but Peveto has a background of coordinating special teams.

I had no clue he would do this. His defenses suck and are overrated but his detailed plan to improve UK is impressive to say the least.

Also rumored to be on Stoops list/come on board is Steve Spurrier JR. If I remember exactly where I saw that at I'll try and get a link to it

From what I've been told I'm almost certain that BOTH Neil Brown and James Coley will be on Kentucky's staff. Not sure what roles they are gonna be playing just yet. I think Brown is gonna be WR, TE and either be OC or share the OC with Coley. Maybe Coley assistant coach and Recruiting Coordinator.

 

It isn't confirmed just yet but it's close that DJ Eliot will be on board as DC and also rumored is Greg Hudson.
