C'mon guys. Let's not do this. Let's move on....both X and & T. Let's celebrate a great game by the two greatest programs in the country (IMO :D), pray for the injured and congratulate Coach Glaser on a career any high school coach would be glad to have accomplished, and wish him well as he continues his career at St. X.

This was a GREAT high school football game

Luckily the injury cloud s beginning to clear and now it appears James has a broken rib or two and no head or neck injuries

Charles has a fractured fibula down by his ankle that will probably not need surgery, but may keep him out of basketball this year

Dakota end up with a bone bruise

So, all in all they should all recover to play again !

Congratulations to both teams for leaving it all on the field

Congratulations to X. They came out very high and ready to play the game. Rocks started slower and wereshocked some by X' aggresive play, penalties, Quick' injury, but regrouped and took back control. All of the injuries were football plays and nothing else. X cheered the Penalty on Quick's injury. Ok. I am saddened he won't be playing again this season. Ribs are serious. I love the excitement he brings to the game. Superb play by Bertram, especially 1st half when it seemed he was everywhere, and Swiebeck (sp.?) , who along with catching that pass did a good job punting.

You are incorrect sir. The cheering continued well beyond the celebration time of a big hit, and I have way more witnesses on the Trinity side to confirm such(and I did not have to count numbers it was soooo obvious). If you knew I'd make something out of it that tells me you knew it to be an issue.

I did not want to believe it either, I was shocked and as an X grad very embarrassed.

it was the exact same on the trinity side when walker was lit up in both games and hobbled off........I am sure nobody at the place wants to see anyone Injured seriously

That being said, I was sort of wishing for James quick to contract a mild case of montezumas revenge at lunch on Thursday

X ran a surprising and effective play when the RB Walker took a deep hand off looking as if he is heading between the tackles. All of a sudden, he stops and throws a jump pass to a wide open receiver 10 yards or so downfield. It seems like a college team successfully ran this same play within the last few weeks. Does anyone recall this? Was it UC?

We took care of business and the X game is history. Now look forward to Scott County. They are 12-1 and will be a tough test for the ROCKS. I'm sure Coach Beatty will have them ready. GO ROCKS

Yes, the Bearcats ran the same play for a touchdown. I think I saw it on Sportscenter 50 times.

Xgrad-JAG Dad...that avatar always gives me a good chuckle when I read your posts. Next year I might go with TGrad-ArmyMom and chime in with Tinity jabs during my coffee breaks. Thanks for the entertainment again this year.

Nice post RM. It bothers me when I see fans taking potshots and digs at their opponents. Some things, even accurate things, are best left unsaid in public.

I disagree....you all should be aware of that disgusting act.......it was sickening.

Maybe the football gods didn't like the tip of the hat by Coach Glaser after the '09 state game, but I have a feeling the football gods are going to shift their attention to the school on Shelbyville Rd. to make sure they're minding their Ps and Qs.

NOt sure to what you may be referring. I feel failry certain that T does all that it can possibly do to adhere to all rules and regulations. Do you know of any other school that sends out a copy of KHSAA Rules and REgs to Alumni and supporters ?

Maybe just more wishful thinking on your part.

Any thoughts on the second half offense of the Tigers? Was the T defense that good or was the play calling and execution that poor?

I think I read 11 yards total offense and 1 first down (due to a defensive penalty).

And the penalty was iffy at best. In the CJ Glaser said that with Walker injured it hurt their passing game because so much of their passing game was centered around him. Not to beat a dead horse BUT :deadhorse: this certainly seems to illustrate just how one dimensional his play book was.

Well, I was going to say that about the penalty too, but heavin knows anytime I say something negative about X, the sky darkens.

I can't believe they didn't pass downfield more, the ends seemed to have some success getting open early on. At least try another trick play or something. And with Trinity... the passing routes all seemed to be down and outs... maybe that is how Cody got open late. I didn't think it was a Picasso by Coverdale, but then as I said in an early post, X had some good defense going.

Play calling and execution was horrendous. If the defense wasn't playing so well i Would've got up and left.

the 3rd and 20 to end the game is unexplainable and acceptable though.
