Very disappointing exit for Highlands 6th IMO. Very deep team that never used it to their advantage. Having said that, does anyone know what the Holmes-Newport 6th result was?

 

In the grand scheme of things middle school ball is fun forthe kids as tgey get to represent the school and play together but winning championships are not that important.

 

The coaches made a concerted effort to play everyone in every game and as the year went on you could see great development. Now is the time those boys should be playibg AAU ball against tougher competition so they can not only get better but get tougher.

 

One thing I noticed this year was there were only a couple kids WHO liked to mix it up out there. A lot of nice skilled players but a little soft imo. Coach Herald did a great job and i know he truly enjoyed coaching them.

I believe IHM 8th grade girls now go on to play Conner in their district finals tomorrow night.

Really because the SVMS A.D. Called Woodlands A.D. To apologize of there redneck parents. One of the parents is not aloud at the championship game. She had verbally threatend one of Woodlands players. Very unacceptable. If there was an officer there like high school games she would have instantly been arrested or escorted out of the gym!

 

Didn't hear anything about the threat, that shouldn't happen at any level. Sounds like SV AD has a lot of class to call and apologize, I hope Woodlands done the same. Woodlands parents were just as bad as the SV parents. I have no dog in this fight my kid goes to neither school. I was just saying from a non-bias point of view both sets of parents for lack of a better word were "redneck" in their actions.

In 7th grade boys, Turkey Foot knocked off defending regional champions Woodland 43-30.

Wow!!!

6th grade boys... St. Pius beats IHM by 7 or 8. Pius led most of the game but the IHM players kept playing hard. Good game to watch.

Kudo's to the older ref. Towards the end of the 1st qt he twisted his knee and was obviously in pain for the rest of the game. He could not get up and down the floor very fast but he sucked it up and finished the game. Thank you for your effort!
