In 7th grade girls semi action, Woodland defeated Camp Ernst and Twenhofel beat Gray in a blow out. The Woodland game was tied at 20 points at half but some great play by Buckner down the stretch allowed them to seal the deal vs. Camp Ernst. Camp Ernst was really hurt by poor FT shooting.

I am told Conner 6th grade girls beat HHS by 12. That's the closes game for Conner all season. I am told HHS played well.

Pius and Holmes 6th grade boys was a great game at Sharp last nite. Back and forth all nite. Holmes I had heard was undefeated going into the game so most expected it to be a cakewalk. Score went back and forth all game. Pius down one with 6 seconds left, floater along the baseline went half way down and came out with less than a second left, preserving the win for Holmes. While the officiating was questionable most of the game, it was the same for both teams. Great game to watch.

 

Caught the second half of the Gray Campbell boys 6th game before the Holmes / Pius. Gray was up by like 14, but Campbell battled back to make it close as Gray tried to give the game away, but they were able to hold on and defeat Campbell.

Both Teams played well, highlands defense was swarming at times and did cause some fits for conner. Guard play was the key to this win for Conner.

Yes it could, not sure i would want to be at that practice. Yes, early in the game Highlands broke the press well but a few adjustments prevented that in the second half.

7th grade boys: Conner beat Woodland in OT in a rematch of last year's championship game. Conner was already down one starter going into the game and lost big Jake Walter in the 2nd qtr to injury. Bench players stepped up big time! They play St Pius in a rematch of their district championship game. Easily one of the most exciting games I've seen all year!
