Holmes is not a bad team at all. Steve Lickert left that program in alot better place than when he took it over.

They certainly have some TV Ready players but they have to work on playing every play of the game and not just the ones they want to play. :thumb:

Colston is hurt and may be out for the season. Cheek has not been very effective. Peterson is strictly an athlete and can make plays, howvere, they can not pass without Colston. I am assuming Highlands took their starters out after half. I can't imagine Holmes ran on their 1st string. I also can't imagine them only scoring 7 points with their startin offense in the 2nd half. Is this true.

Actually surprised the Dogs put any points on the board let alone 28. Scruggs is blistering fast.

And HHS had scored 50 points in a half. As long as HHS is putting up those kinds of numbers I think the defense can lax a little bit. I know HHS's run defense isn't as strong as years past but as long as the Offense is scoring near 60 points a game it hardly matters....IMO!!!

I would have to go back and look but outside of the first half of the Boyle game not sure the run defense has given up but 3 or 4 TD's all year. Kickoff has given up more TD's than the run D and maybe the D period. Seems to me the Birds D does a pretty dang good job of holding the other team and getting the O good field position. Maybe they aren't as dominant as some of the teams of the past but they aren't to shabby. I will take 8-0. I am sure we will be tested Friday but that is why they play the games.

Actually it was 7 points on a pass play in the first half. The other 7 in the first half was a kickoff return.

True you cant expect shutouts every week and when you play athletes like Holmes they are going to put a couple on you.

Same goes for the Offense. There is one particular athletic receiver who hasn't played that likely would be adding to the 50+ scoring average. Godspeed to him and hopefully he will be back for the big State Championship Run.
