Peterson is a nice player, but he seems to be the same player that he was three years ago. All they do with him is run a go route. He doesn't seem to have major D-1 speed. He uses his size well, but recruiters will have a tough time gauging him because he rarely runs any other route than a fade or go route.

I really like the looks of the Scruggs kid. He runs really hard and if he gets into the clear, very few are going to catch him.

The Vickers kid that Holmes had in looked like he had the makings of a solid future at QB.

I still can't figure out what kind of offense Holmes is trying to run. It looks like it changes week to week. They were a kick off return from a running clock in the first half. Thankfully, Highlands played their reserves in the second half.

I agree. I just know every time someone points out SK's lack of success (no matter what sport, etc.), it always gets back to that 1981 team.

Scruggs and Peterson would start somewhere for sure. The big Boy on the line may challenge for a spot. I dont think Scruggs would unseat Harris by any means but putting him back there with him would be crazy. Peterson is the best WR in NKY so I would say he would start.

I would agree. But are we talking if those kids came up through the HHS program from freshman or taking them right now "as is"? That would make a big difference. If you puut that kind if natural talent in HHS system, it's get unfair! A lot of the players that end up stars at at HHS are a product of the system. Yes, they get their share of talented athletes, but their hard work in the program helps many of them become stars.

I say Brandon Johnson is definitely a starter as well. There are at least 2 or 3 other players that would become starters if they were in the Highlands system, getting coached up and working out like all the players do at Highlands.

#11 for Holmes reminded me of Randy Moss to the "nth" degree. If it was a run play, he LITERALLY would not move when the ball was snapped. No attempt to run off the CB OR block him. He simply stood there until the whistle blew. Maybe he has been coached to "conserve his energy" since Holmes doesn't have significant depth. That said, it looked awful and very "individual-oriented." When the "jump ball" pass route (if you call it that) was called, he would make a solid effort and get off the ball. Otherwise, he appeared to have no interest in the other 10 players on his side of the ball.

Oh I know they would play...when I said unfair, I meant it would be unfair to other teams if HHS always had that kind of natural talent because look what they do with the kids that start with average talent! If you put those players on this team and they had come through the system, it wouldn't be fair to their opponents!
