Same goes for the Offense. There is one particular athletic receiver who hasn't played that likely would be adding to the 50+ scoring average. Godspeed to him and hopefully he will be back for the big State Championship Run.

This isn't the Highlands defense of recent years. I'd still take my chances with their defense vs any other team in the state, but this group does give up points.

 

Also, Holmes isn't a bad team. With their athletes and speed, they are going to score on anyone...not named Trinity. They actually have good size on both sides of the ball up front and are a very physical team. I can almost guarantee if you ask any of the Birds players, they will tell you Holmes played a physical game last night.

 

Scruggs and Peterson would start and play at any school in nky. IF Peterson were somewhere with a passing QB, he would lead nky in receiving yards and td's. He is HANDS DOWN the best receiver in nky...the only problem is his numbers don't reflect it. Physically and athletically, the kid is a freak. One on one, there isn't a DB in nky that can stop him.

Check Peterson's stats against SK over the years. Not a DB on that team that can match up with him. (And I am a huge Jared Swanson fan, for the record) Last time Peterson played against SK, I believe he finished with around 200 yards receiving and a couple td's.

They played last year Knox scored Peterson was a non factor. The year before that was a scrimmage remember 70 to 6 Peterson had 3 catches. He is a good player but always has a off night against SK.

Last year was a very boring game. 2 years ago SK scored on about every play in the scrimmage Peterson had 3 catches for about 30 yards no touchdowns.

HHS fans ready to turn their attention to Elder. That is gonna be a tough game to win, but there is hope. Wonder if Elder has a guy like Petersen? Wow, is he fast! The kickoff coverage has been a concern all year & I'm sure Elder will try to exploit. I am praying for a healthy outcome, as usual, for both teams. Then attention on Ryle...one game at a time.

 

On a side note, why does UK fan ALWAYS try to bash Highlands? The constant badgering gets old & it really makes me dislike/want to root against SK and I am buddies with a couple of SK coaches. Sad. I agree. I just know every time someone points out SK's lack of success (no matter what sport, etc.), it always gets back to that 1981 team.
