When I think how bad I have it being a Buc fan, I just say to myself, "It could be worse. I could be a Jets fan."

There's no one who makes football look more difficult than Mark Sanchez.

Agreed. I've never quite seen what the football experts seem to see in him.

The Jets are apparently the dumbest organization in pro football...

Just to let you know how bad Tebow is, Sanchez beat him out for the job in the preseason.

If it's Tebow time, then it's signing a new QB time in the offseason too.

I believe that Tebow is very close to becoming the starter.

Sanchez did make two straight AFC Championships in his first two years. So he was not horrible, but definitely not great. This year he has no running game it seems like and probably the worst set of receivers in the league. The type of players on this offense probably does fit what Tebow can do better. We seen how when Tebow came in last year, it got the Denver running game going.

Not a Jets fan but what happened to these guys? Were close to make the Super Bowl two times just a few years back. How did they fall off this bad?? Why not give Tebow a shot it cant get any worse.

It is going to be interesting to see what the Jets do. Pretty sure Sanchez is due 20+ million on his contract still.

It was not an open competition during the preseason. Sanchez was going to start the season no matter how Tebow performed. For as bad as Sanchez has looked at times, his numbers last year improved from the previous two seasons in which the Jets made the AFC title game. I say he deserved the nod in that respect.

Sanchez looked great in week 1. The first patch of ice he hits and he goes in to brain lock mode going forward with the Tebow aura breathing down his neck.

I think the 49ers ran Kaepernick just to rub it in the Jets' faces.

What you say is the rub. Brady, Rogers, Brees, Manning, they make the running game because they are great passers. Defenses have to defend the pass first, opening up the running game. Sanchez, regardless of his receiver corps, has never been able to do that. He needs a great running game first, ala Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer. However, I've never considered him a good game manager as Johnson and Dilfer were. Sanchez also needs a good defense. He doesn't have that either.

As far as Tebow goes, Denver had a good running attack before he took over. The Jets do not. I also do not think the coaching staff will convert their offense to a college zone read, like the Broncos did. While I do not have the angst against this guy like some do, I don't think he will do well without those 2 things.
