October 2, 201214 yr So the new thing to do if you get red shirted is throw a fit till they finally decide to play you? Who threw a fit?
October 2, 201214 yr So how exactly does Joker plan to use him? He's not starting. Does he only get in if Whitlow fails?
October 2, 201214 yr PT's debut might spike attendance. ...not too tough to spike attendance right now. :walk:
October 2, 201214 yr Author So how exactly does Joker plan to use him? He's not starting. Does he only get in if Whitlow fails? Good question. I'd like to see them both on the field together at some point.
October 2, 201214 yr If Gruden came to UK they'd be top 10 within 2 years. Unfortunately I think that's a dream and not even close to being a possibility. Would HIGHLY depend on the horses he could fill the stables with. And in my opinion if it were even remotely possible to hire Gruden, it would take more than 2.
October 2, 201214 yr Gruden has been turning down NFL and big-time college offers. Why come to UK, when he's never been a college coach? When he is reportedly very happy and well compensated on Monday night football? Can anyone tell me why it would happen, and not just why it would be awesome? I can't because it wouldn't. If Gruden is going to coach in college it won't be at UK.
October 2, 201214 yr I would love to see Towles play as well. But let's not forget he's a true freshman and not the "second coming"..............yet.
October 2, 201214 yr Who threw a fit? Sounds to me more is coming from dad. That is a tough spot to be in as a parent of a very gifted athlete. Dad is a good dude but sometimes reporters can catch you being a "little too honest." But really what dad said was worded very well, just not sure anytime the parent speaks up about what they are feeling it does not come across as complaining.

I don't want to put words into your mouth or read into anything. However, no way we can lay any blame at the feet of the reporter.
October 2, 201214 yr No I agree Clyde 100%. I think sometimes as a parent the answer should be I will allow the coaches to make those decisions and we will make ours based on that. I personally feel parents of college athletes are most of the time best served NOT being in the press...........But I certainly do not fault the press for asking the question(s) to the parent.
October 2, 201214 yr I don't want to put words into your mouth or read into anything. However, no way we can lay any blame at the feet of the reporter. Not all of it. Sometimes it is better to have the transcript version of an interview rather than just quotes that are put into an actual story. Very tough to see what was asked, how the answers fit with the questions, and the overall tone of the interview.
October 2, 201214 yr If Gruden came to UK they'd be top 10 within 2 years. Unfortunately I think that's a dream and not even close to being a possibility. Lets get UK to top 10 in the SEC first, then worry about teams outside the conference.

Was SC the best gig that Spurrier could have got when he took that job? You are probably right, but I want Barnhart to try hard to get him.
