August 29, 201214 yr Author If Molina has to miss an extended period of games, the Cardinals will be done.
August 29, 201214 yr So much for not retaliating.... They just drilled him. Interesting. They didn't plunk him in his first post-collision AB.
August 29, 201214 yr I didn't realize Harrison was out on the play. LCRW is right. That was a hard core play by Molina.
August 29, 201214 yr Interesting. They didn't plunk him in his first post-collision AB. And when they did hit him there were runners on 1st and 3rd and it loaded the bases.
August 29, 201214 yr Apparently Carp took some issue with the collision. How will he explain this to his son?
August 29, 201214 yr Author 8 years ago today Ty Wiggington ran over Molina on a play at the plate. That was at PNC Park too. :scared:
August 29, 201214 yr Whew, it looks even worse in slow motion. I will be shocked if he isn't at least on the 7 day concussion DL.

August 29, 201214 yr Author I think he will be out for a while. Huge loss for the Cardinals if he is. Heart and soul of the Cardinals.
August 29, 201214 yr Huge loss for the Cardinals if he is. Heart and soul of the Cardinals. Do you think with safety and keeping players healthy being a big topic in sports today, that they may change the rule about being allowed to run over the catcher? Any chance you think that they may eventually go to what high schools do and making people have to slide when there is a play at the plate? Were starting to see more big injuries with plays at the plate, and last year it took out one of baseball's young stars. So I wouldn't be surprised if they address it in someway.

I'd be surprised if we see that any time soon. I've got big respect for Molina. Tough hombre.
