There was new speakers installed three years ago before the X game it's not the sound system it's the operators. We tried to give the old man a retirement cake two years ago but was told no way he does the games as long as he wants. Some people just don't like change.

 

Isnt that the same guy that kept the book for the Birds hoops Varsity/JV Basketball team for years? Change was made there last year and it was brisk. I suggest they do the same for the sake of the football fans in the stands.

Don't ever confuse what I said about Highlands being down.

 

I absolutely agree Highlands is the clear favorite to win 4A.

 

I am interested to see what LexCath does this week but other than that it looks like all Birds and maybe the Park Hills Mafia.

Favorite? Yes. Clear? I don't know. I want to see what LexCath does tomorrow night vs one of the top teams in TN and CovCath against better competition. Highlands has improved night and day against the run. LexCath and CovCath can do both. That being said, one mistake and Highlands will jump all over it and you won't get momentum back.

 

The real test comes when Highlands has to throw it in a tight game. McCoy has done it before, I am sure he can do it all season.

Thought this would be a good game with Scott Co having a chance to win. Great job Highlands showing NKY moxie!

First of all, get over hearing your sons name announced over the speaker system. It means nothing. The kids don't hear it. The game is not about the parents or grandparents. I can say this because I'm a parent of offensive linemen that never got their names mentioned. And both were All State Linemen.

 

Actually never really listen to announcers. Personnally they annoy me. Really , if you watch the game and really pay attention to what is going on, you don't hear anything that is going on around you.

Please don't tell that to Jac Collinsworth who took the time to call the Highlands Freshman game Thursday night against Lex Cath. Bottom line without getting into an arguement over this, the PA system or operators at DCM needs to be fixed. So fans can hear when announcing the captains (could be a lineman), TD or tackle.

I think the PA is good for the parents and family members and even the casual fan who may not have a program card but I would actually not be opposed to them just ripping the entire system out and going with nothing.

After sitting in road construction in Indy for an hour, drove like a madman to make the game on time.

 

Ive been to lots of high school games, but last night I saw something I've never seen before.

The head coach for SC walked down the sideline to talk to one of his LB's after the play on JH's TD in the south endzone.The coach was screaming at the player at the top of his lungs. I was three quarters of the way in the bleechers and heard him plain as can be. The player was slowly walking to the sideline and the head coach started yelling at the player from the 20 yard line to the bench area at the 50 yard line. When the player stood at the 50 the coach, still yelling, went on yelling nose to nose for another minute.

So, my question is, where do coaches draw the line when the player makes a mistake on the field, to me, the coach didn't do anything but humiliate the player right in front of everyone in the bleechers.

 

Scott County has lots of play makers and talent, but I don'tthink the coaches know what to do with it.
