After what I experienced last week trying to park....I believe it. :lol:

But why?

 

Because Highlands was very un-impressive against Boyle County until Boyle got tired and Scott County has to be better than Boyle County, right?

 

The only wildcard was that I had not seen Scott County and apparently they are way down from last year.

Thank God my coaches pass got me into this game for free!!! Left at halftime, was thinking this would be a good game. Highlands looked like men against boys tonight.

I'm calling us better than Scott County. The half that we won actually showed us ahead on the scoreboard.

Mark Twain said it best, "The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.". Good call I was thinking the same thing.

 

Much sharper. Getting the ball first and running at will for the first score set the tone. SC had 3 very athletic skill players, but overall Highlands was much faster and quicker, especially on the lines.

 

This is pretty much the norm out of most "talented" 6A teams which is why they can't compete with the others. Highlands, T or X. Those programs bring in talented athletes as well as mold them early on, most 6A programs luck out and land some then call it a very talented team. That's just KY football.

They were leaning on their knees a lot. The Defense was on the field a ton during the 1st half.

I didn't get to go to the game. Who was playing well on the defensive line for Highlands.

Such is what I expected your response to be. I think SC and BC would be a great game to be honest. Different styles of play, SC has great athletes while BC has great tradition. With that said few teams with the exception of perhaps BG come close to H, T, X. in the past decade.

I think we also have to add maybe Boyle wasn't all that tired in the second half last week and maybe Highlands woke up in the second half against Boyle. In other words, the first half against Boyle may be misleading in Highlands small body of work this year and if the two teams played again its possible it would be a rout and if so then Scott County figures to slot about where the did.

 

What is tough about all of this is until all the teams play four games or so there is not enough reliable information to accurately predict a lot of games.

 

I will say this, Highlands never ceases to amaze me...

Ru...they looked very focused tonight and pounded Scott County.

 

Harris was pancaking LB's out of the backfield when clearing for Hayes. He also bounced off would be tacklers getting into the endzone from 7 yrds out a couple times.

 

Defense was also making great plays and gang tackling very well.
