For those that espouse the notion that HHS allowed themselves to be waxed by Trinity simply because they didn't want to show all of their cards to Boyle County; I've got a bridge in Brooklyn for sale.

That is not what I meant at all.. It didn't matter what Dale showed Trinity was still going to kill HHS. What I meant was that Dale didn't show his full hand in that scrimmage. He knew the real games start this week..Why put stuff on tape that other teams can prepare for? Dale hasn't accumilated 10 State Championships by being stupid!!

Dale showed nothing in the scrimmage because Trinity did not allow him to. Nothing more, nothing less.

 

But I will go with Highlands in this one. Boyle County is not Trinity.

I think they can win the game. They are definitely capable of doing so but they will have their work cut out for them. They must make zero mistakes and will likely have to dig deep into their reserve tanks and find the necessary energy that will be needed late in the game against Highlands at home using the two-platoon system.

I think the temperature at game time will have a huge effect on the outcome of this game. If it's cool like it was Friday, it will really help Boyle. If it's hot, the Birds should be able to overcome all of the youth and inexperience they'll put on the field due to two platooning.

I'm hitting up Mio's before the game with mexitucky and Run to State. Anybody else headed that way?

Last year wasn't the problem for Boyle the Birds D. I may be wrong but Boyle seemed to play a pretty good game and stayed in it for a while but HHS D just never really let Boyle get going. That gave HHS O plenty of time to figure it out and start moving the ball and scoring. I think Boyle's D will play well enough to keep them in the game this year, just don't know if they can score much on HHS.
