July 23, 201214 yr Penn State gets four year bowl ban. Vacates all wins from 1998-2001. Paterno is no longer the all time leader in wins. (Bravo NCAA) Fined $60 Million. Loss of 10 scholarships per year for the 4 years. Players can transfer immediately. Wasn't it from 98 to 2011?

July 23, 201214 yr Is this worse than the death penalty? I personally think so, or at least equivalent. I have a hard time believing that many athletes will stick around at Penn State with no hope of a bowl game in the entirety of the time they are there. And that's just a blow that is added to the already significant factor of playing for a team with the stigma that Penn State now carries.
