Chick-Fil-A is anti-gay marriage

Featured Replies

My guess is, it has something to do with the fact that you don't get taken to Chick-Fil-A when you're having a heart attack...

Perhaps you get taken there because of Chick-Fil-A sandwiches.:D

I guess anyone can be accused of being anti gay. Ignore 90% of their mission when one wants to advance an agenda. As you have said, you can contribute to something without being 100% in agreement with everything they do. As has already been pointed out, we all could be labeled anti gay under this guy's parameters due to our contributions for Alabama Larry.

Fine and dandy but it doesn't take away from the fact that money was given to groups that practice in the extremes.

I wish I could be there when they call him back to the rectory and he tries to say it wasn't him and they can't prove it.

Serious question though...if they do fire him and he claims it's because he is gay is it discrimination or well within their rights?

I don't think he can be fired for being gay. He can be fired though for saying he hopes they close.

Can somebody answer this question? Where is the uproar and protesting against St. Elizabeth hospital and all Catholic hospitals? They are businesses, affiliated with the Catholic Church, who does not support Gay marriage.

So then why all this uproar over what the Chik-Fil-A president says?

If your goal is to effect change nationally via exposure you're not going to protest a church or hospital that no one knows about.

EVERYONE knows CFA.

Got it. So then, the Gay Community is really not offended by what the CFA president said. They saw an opportunity for exposure for their cause.

Definitely the exposure is the key. Not sure if "offended" is the right word. It's not like they're happy he said it. However, it's a good rallying point. I get it. Makes sense to me.

I used "offended" because that is the word my fellow BGP posters used throughout this 21 page thread.

If they're not "offended" then what the hell are they?

It's probably the best word but since it's hardly new it's not like they're shocked.

Those same groups apparently also do a world of good. It's the same as your donations to the Catholic Church, is it not?

If they're not "offended" then what the hell are they?

Opportunistic.

If they're not "offended" then what the hell are they?

Vegetarians.

So those donations weren't made? His comments weren't said? Those groups don't practice sexual reorientation?

Just because you don't like the source doesn't make it wrong. There were also several links in the article to help support the claims...

I followed a few of the links. Most of them went to the author's blog. Click on Fellowship of Christian Athletes in #1. It goes to his blog and there is nothing there. That tells me he's throwing alot of crap at the wall to see what sticks. And again, #4 is just laughable. His proof is they've been sued for discrimination over 12 times since 1967. Man shut them down now, 12 times in 45 years.

I guess I have a problem calling this guy a bigot. He never said he hated gay people, he said he didn't support gay marriage for religious reasons. I don't buy it but if you are a firm believer in the what the bible states then you could make a case that homosexuality is against gods teachings. It is also up for debate that no one is born gay, that it's a choice. There is no proof either way, it's what you believe to be the case.

Bigot
