Just part of the profession. For as sick as this individual is and any punishment is not enough, he still has rights. They may have just been assigned as his court appointed attorney.

They did say that she was a public defender and that she was assigned his case.

As a public defender isn't this a High Profile case you want. You know your not going to win, and so does everyone else, however if you do anything that can trim off some time, or even save this (insert whatever you wish to call him besides human) life from the death penalty, then haven't you really won, and made yourself more marketable in your career.

One interesting detail, the District Attorney's term limit comes up in November this year...presumably before the trial process really gets going. The new DA is going to have to hit the ground running on this thing.

To punish him. Seriously, whatever they do to him is not enough.

I'd think that most people wouldn't want to admit that they saw the signs, because then everyone would question them on why they didn't do something about them.

 

I read an article today that mentioned this. Even if he had friends most of them won't come forward for some time if ever. No one wants to be known as the friend of a mass murderer.

 

 

 

Exactly, even his family are victims in this because they can't do or say anything other than they're sorry it happened and they wish they'd done more.
