Some websites are reporting that police are looking for a second person of interest after a phone call was made threatening violence if the suspect wasn't released.

 

Google the name yeom pyo lee. The websites aren't saying the name but apparently it leaked somewhere.

Aurora police are saying reports of a person of interest are unconfirmed and inaccurate.

 

Authorities also said the suspects AR15 jammed while he was shooting and he had to switch to another weapon.

The story of the parent leaving his 4 month old in the theatre is appalling.

Wow. I haven't been following to closely. So the person I questioned early in thread, to why anyone would take a 4 month old in the 1st place, then abandoned the child during the crisis. That's just messed up. And then he tells the story to the media. How does someone like that get through a day? Unbelievable.

I don't have a problem with this. Maybe it's new parents that wanted to get out of the house, and infant is too young to leave with a sitter. At 3 months, the baby probably slept through the whole thing, or until the shooting began.

Toddler age and up (impressionable ages) is when I would question it.

Let me ask your opinion to all and specifically HB20, do you think this type of information should be released. I read that, and see that as a note to any person who plans something else like this to make sure your weapons don't jam or use a different weapon. By that I mean, were almost by releasing this info, giving a how to book on what to do. How is the information that the gun jammed, relevant to the general public.

I disagree. I have four kids. I would have never even considered taking any of them at a young age out at midnight. There were times when we wanted to do something, but couldn't get a sitter. We simply just didn't go if that was the case. Especially if it was primarily an adult function. Sacrifices people...

No family in town, and too young to leave with a sitter. She slept in our arms the whole time. Yesterday, we picked her up after completing the Governor's Scholar Program. Apparently our poor judgement messed her up big time.

Disagree.

 

Statistically speaking, most gun violence committed by blacks is drug and/or gang related. Thus the use of the word "thug" being frequently heard. The Washington DC beltway snipers were both black, and I don't recall anyone referring to John Allen Muhammad or Lee Boyd Malvo being called thugs.

 

I would simply have to disagree about Arabs being called terrorist. As a race, I don't frequently see much in the news about Arabs committing violent crimes in general. I will say, though, that the very few instances I recall being reported on the news were certainly instances worth of being called "terrorism". I would probably argue that generally, that would explain the "terrorist" comment from your friend.

 

As for whites being called "mentally ill", I would have to refer to the fact that it's pretty widely agreed upon that in the United States, serial and spree killers are most likely to be white, male, come from a middle-class background, and have a history of mental problems.

Little different than midnite premier showings of a huge blockbuster movie. I guess it's just opinion. Sure I took the kids to games and movies. Would never ever consider a midnite premier like that. Also didn't say it would mess kids up. I am saying it's not a situation I would feel safe to have an infant attend. Lot of crazy stuff goes on at these things.
