I just read that a 3 month old baby was also injuries. What I'm trying to figure out is why you would take a 3 month old baby to the movie anyway, especially a midnight showing.

 

 

I'm not sure of the ages, sex, or anything else about the 12 victims but I did read that one of them was a 9 year old girl.

 

It's absolutely horrible and saddens me so much to see this happen.

 

Read that one guy held one to his wife's hand and just started running and when he lost her hand he grabbed her shirt before they were separated. You have to feel for everyone.

Was thinking the same, also the movie Rampage came to mind as well. Either way they're sick.

I'm not really saying what I think is right or wrong, but it wouldn't have even crossed my mind to post something like that on the internet were I in that guy's shoes.

If I was the only one affected I might. But I wouldn't just because of the many other families involved.

I have never been able to understand why people wait in line for hours, sometimes days to be at the 1st showing of a movie. Let alone drop 10 or 15 bucks to watch it. Haven't been to a movie theater in at least 25 years.

 

Same reason they wait in line to eat, ride a roller coaster, tickets to a ball game, etc. because they want to and it brings enjoyment to them.

I have already seen things around the Internet talkin about how no one else in the theater had a gun.

 

People have the option to go through the process to carry a gun legally.

 

I will say that it makes no difference, for all we know the gunman could have had a license to carry ( I doubt it). I'm just saying it is not the solution to this problem.

Price is one thing but I was at one of the first showings last night. Total time from pulling in the parking lot til I picked up my reserved tickets online was about 10 minutes and that was because we parked in the back of the parking lot.

Not related to this showing, but you always here about certain movies where people camp out in line and things like that......I guess to each his own.

While I've had my imagination drift back when I was a kid and thought about how horrifying a scenario last nights could/would be(how would you react)I just don't think to actually take my gun in to the theatre. Hell I had mine on me when I pulled in and took it out of my pocket and put it in my glove compartment out of habit. Events such as this will make me think twice the next time though. No matter what comes of this it's just horrible and sad that so many people are gone as a result of one sick persons actions.

I always carry it and I hope that law abiding citizens carry theirs too. I also hope that they use extreme caution and know who they are shooting if they ever have to use it.

I was at the Florence Cinema (Rave) last night for one of their eight showings of the film. When I bought my ticket at 7:00 that night, the young lady who sold me the ticket said six of the eight screens had been sold out. I believe mine was too, as I couldn't see an empty seat anywhere. Point being...there were people everywhere. By far, it was the most crowded I've ever seen at a cinema complex.

 

But I remember before the previews & movie started, an announcement flashed on the screen about what to do in case of emergency. I thought to myself if there was a fire, no one would do what the screen announcement suggested, which was to walk & not run to the nearest exit. I can't imagine the chaos inside that Colorado theater. Simply heartbreaking.

 

Probably had to be something similar to the Beverly Hills fire in Ft. Thomas years back.

Probably right. I think that happened the year I was born (1977), but I've heard a lot of people talk about that.
