July 22, 201214 yr I wish that at his arraigment the judge would simply release him on his on recognizance until the trial--and make sure and let everyone know exactly when and where he would be freed.

I've talked about it with several people over the last several days, and there's really not much that can be said to express the sadness in this situation. It absolutely sickens me to think that this loser MIGHT not get the Death Penalty. You have to assume that any lawyer stupid enough to take this case will have to plea insanity. There's no other option. I wish sometimes the judicial system would just say, "You know what? Crazy or not, you're frying for this..."

July 22, 201214 yr Let me ask your opinion to all and specifically HB20, do you think this type of information should be released. I read that, and see that as a note to any person who plans something else like this to make sure your weapons don't jam or use a different weapon. By that I mean, were almost by releasing this info, giving a how to book on what to do. How is the information that the gun jammed, relevant to the general public. IMHO it doesn't matter. I'm assuming he shot the gun at some point before he went to the theatre, I could be wrong but considering the amount of time and calculating he did with explosives I would be lead to believe he did at some point do it. I myself own an AR-15 and they do/can jam. The fact that he didn't clear, or know how to clear could be the result of him not knowing much about the gun or that he just didn't want to stop shooting. It's my opinion that most(not all) people that own a gun such as an AR-15 are going to know a bit about them and how to use them, maybe not right off the bat but eventually, bottom line is it's not helping any one because guns do jam, it happens.

July 23, 201214 yr Little different than midnite premier showings of a huge blockbuster movie. I guess it's just opinion. Sure I took the kids to games and movies. Would never ever consider a midnite premier like that. Also didn't say it would mess kids up. I am saying it's not a situation I would feel safe to have an infant attend. Lot of crazy stuff goes on at these things. Seriously? No crazy stuff happens at sporting events where they serve alcohol and half the patrons are half lit before they even walk in the door...... I guess it's all about perspective. While I think it's not the best plan I have no problem with a parent taking their kid where ever when ever they want to(within reason). Would be a different story if it was a regular thing for them but it's a midnight premier for a show that's been talked about for well over a year. Honestly this isn't the only place I've heard it but I think it's sad that out of all of this, the fact that folks took their children to a midnight movie is some how one of the headlines of this whole atrocity, it's just sad.

Only problem I have with that is it would cause such a frenzy that more innocent people would get hurt. Just save every one the time give him an injection and allow the healing process to start.
