May 14, 201214 yr I don't have stats but do you think some of that may have something to do with who Mesoraco has been catching? You are good at running numbers. Flip it so Mesoraco is catching Cueto and let's see what the numbers look like. I bet they are a lot closer and Cueto is going to be the same regardless of who catches him.
May 14, 201214 yr Reds hitters take some of the best pitches, and swing at the worst. Ludwick and Stubbs more than anybody. Ludwick misses pitches more than anybody I think I've ever seen. He doesn't come close to making contact with some of his swings. I've been very disappointed in Ludwick. I thought at worse he would be Jonny Gomes with good defense. I agree with both of you, especially LRCW's comment about how badly Ludwick misses pitches. He very often looks about as bad as an experienced major leaguer can look at the plate. It is like he is swinging with his eyes closed some times. That at bat versus the lefty by Ludwick was just pathetic.

I think every single person in the stadium sat in the Diamond Seats today. Would you believe that I watched 90% of the game and didn't see any of the three Votto dingers.

May 14, 201214 yr I watched about 15 minutes of this game...and it was the ENTIRE 9th inning! I got to see Marshall come in and get a few strikeouts (which won me a few categories in fantasy) and then I watched the Reds come back in the 9th. Perfect timing.

May 14, 201214 yr What a boring game for Votto. Unfortunately Votto can't carry this team to the playoffs. He will need help and right now they can't beat a good team without him having games like this.
