May 13, 201214 yr Author So was I. SSC is the one that originally pointed it out. Such much sarcasm in this thread I can't keep up.
May 13, 201214 yr The Reds entered Sunday with a 14-5 record when Ryan Hanigan starts at catcher and 2-11 when Devin Mesoraco starts. The team ERA when Hanigan starts at catcher was 2.25, and with Mesoraco it was 4.94. I don't have stats but do you think some of that may have something to do with who Mesoraco has been catching?
May 13, 201214 yr Such much sarcasm in this thread I can't keep up. From watching his decisions it appears that Dusty reached those 1500 wins by flipping a coin and hoping Bonds bailed him out when he was wrong. I think he went to the Montgomery Burns school of managing.
May 13, 201214 yr This Reds team is boring, bottom line very boring, a total reflection of their boring manager.

May 13, 201214 yr Author Reds hitters take some of the best pitches, and swing at the worst. Ludwick and Stubbs more than anybody. Ludwick misses pitches more than anybody I think I've ever seen. He doesn't come close to making contact with some of his swings.

He doesn't come close to making contact with some of his swings. I've been very disappointed in Ludwick. I thought at worse he would be Jonny Gomes with good defense.
May 14, 201214 yr Author Only took Rodriguez 10 pitches to strike out the side last night. I wonder if he can do it in 9 today.
May 14, 201214 yr The dude is a machine. Awesome swing. I'd be lying if I said I didn't think it was about 10 feet short of the warning track when I saw it off the bat originally. Sweet.
