More Rolen: 'I don’t see this as a real longterm thing. ... I’ve had a tough time and I’m in a bad spot right now...it needs to be rested.'

Not a longterm thing? His shoulder has bothered him for years.

Frazier has a chance. I hope he goes out and earns it !

Is it me or am I the only one enjoying George Grande...

Might be the last time we see Rolen as a Red. I don't see how he can comeback and help this team

I've hated on him for years (though he seems like an incredibly nice person), but he is a thousand times better than Kelch. I like when he does games every now and then, kind of nostalgic.

I can't disagree. Even if he is back he can't be relied upon as the everyday guy.

Hope toothpick has a short leash on Latos. Not a soul up in the pen either

Reds score 2 here and Chapman goes to 4-0

I will be the first to admit that I have watched less of the Reds this year than normal. So after watching Chapman on Thursday and again tonight I have to ask, just how good is this guy? To me the three innings I've seen this week have been remarkable.

He's unfair. He's triple digits with the wrong hand and has a nasty little breaker. Good command on top of that and he's the pitcher that if you polled the entire league that they'd like to face least.

Costanzo is 28, and is a career minor leaguer. I say put Frazier in LF, Costanzo at 3B, and see what the two can do. It can't be any worse than the offensive production they've been getting out of those positions.

I think he is a former first rounder of the Phillies...He has put together a nice year so far in the minors and has a little pop...Im all for putting him at third and Frazier in left...Anything over. 220 or so and you got a significant improvment from Rolen and he is another left handed bat...Add in that Frazier in Left is a huge upgrade and that is what I hope to see for a short while here...

I'm going to need a lesson on baseball from Dusty. So in a 1-1 game with a runner on and nobody out in the 5th you let your pitcher hit but he doesn't come back out to pitch? If you're going to bunt isn't Leake a better option if you're saving position players?

He's made similar moves numerous times over the last several seasons. He is a horrible strategist.

Valdez? I would think you would let Valdez come in just to lay down the bunt...Its not like he can hit but he can bunt a little, and there wasnt any reason to save him...They still would have had Heisey, Mesoraco, Costanzo too pinch hit later in the game...In Dusty we trust!
