April 14, 201214 yr On a positive note, Marshall retired one more batter than Bray and I did tonight.
April 14, 201214 yr At least we have our stopper on the mound tomorrow to stop the skid. Bailey will get the win tomorrow.
April 14, 201214 yr Too many non-contact hitters in this lineup. If you think about it, Votto may be the only player in the regular lineup that constantly puts the ball in play. They have no natural leadoff hitter that gets on base and no individuals (other than Votto) that will take a walk. Hard to have a long inning with a lot of free swingers in the lineup, got to sit back and wait on the long ball, which at this time is not coming.
April 14, 201214 yr I remember some talk about the Reds are all in too win. Can someone tell me what they have done to say they are all in? I see no difference in this years team than last years. And last years team wasn't all that grest.

With the example of Votto, it is hard to believe more Reds hitters don't follow his lead and shorten their swing with two strikes. Stubbs last night with two strikes was still hacking away like he knew a first pitch fastball coming. Votto is one of the best two strike hitters in baseball.
