April 14, 201214 yr 11 runs scored in the last 4 and 7/9 games is what I'm saying. 29th in the league in OBP. They've faced a pitching staff that is hardly one to write home about. I read what you said wrong, my bad. But Gio, Jordan Zimmerman and Edwin Jackson are all very solid pitchers. They shouldn't be having as much trouble as they are, but the Nationals rotation is solid.

April 14, 201214 yr I will definitely buy in on Gio and Zimmerman. Those two can pitch. Jackson? Six teams already and he is 28. Skill wise, Homer Bailey is better. So today's game puts me on the edge of becoming one of the W.I.S.E. guys. Whiners, Ignorants, Second Guessers, Exasperateds. You know ... those guys who can find something to complain about on every pitch. I am close to being there. You all can label me whichever one of those you want. :lol:

The two most important slots in any batting order are leadoff and #4. I know most teams hit their best hitter #3 but leadoff and #4 are the keys. Scott Rolen must get on track and Phillips needs to get back on the field.

April 15, 201214 yr If you follow sabermetrics, Homer Bailey is more skilled than Jackson. I can make observations using my eyes. I have yet to see anything out of Homer Bailey to show he is more skilled than Edwin Jackson.

And they optioned a guy out in Frazier to add another scrub relief pitcher that they picked up off the scrap heap right before the season started.

Scott Rolen must get on track and Phillips needs to get back on the field. This would help the situation tremendously. The biggest problem with the Red's roster right now is that they do not have anyone on the bench that they can reach down and get if someone goes down. I am also afraid that there is no answer @ Louisville should a long-term injury hit a regular.

Who cares about the overworked bullpen? Dusty will just go down and get a few more scrubs if he needs them. Frazier hit .291 with 5 HRs and 15 RBIs in spring training and they gave him a vote of confidence by trading Francisco and then right before the season starts they say go down to Louisville and wait your turn. Dusty has his boys on the bench in Harris and Cairo and how's that working out for them? Now mind you I like Cairo and he has been very productive for them but he's not getting any younger and when do you give Frazier a chance? Can he play left and hit any worse than Ludwick has so far?
