April 15, 201214 yr Nats rotation is good. Doesn't hurt to have the Reds in town for 4 either. This Red's team offensively can't beat any pitcher. These stats stand on their own. It all goes back the thread I started on whether or not Dusty Baker's Reds came out of spring training unprepared to start the season offensively. Well that would put him right ahead of most of the big team and he would be among the team leaders in RBIs. Do you think maybe the real vote of confidence the Reds laid on him has anything to do with that? He's 26 years old and thought he had the team made out of spring training and got sent down. I hope not but maybe he just doesn't see a place for himself on this team even though the Reds traded away a "fat" Francisco which should have solidified the backup 3rd position for him.

Go down to AAA, tear the cover off the ball, and force them to bring you up due to performance. OR......... go to AAA, lay an egg, and he will be the next prospect sent packing for new pitching or never called up at all. I haven't seen him play in AAA ball this year so I can't say it's a mental issue or just a slump. Im just sick and a tired of seeing everyone post about bring him up or he got screwed when hes not doing that well in AAA ball right now.

Give it a rest. All the players put up solid numbers down in Arizona. It didn't translate to the season. Explain to me how that's Dusty's fault? They aren't going to hit this poorly all season. Just the law of averages proves that...
April 15, 201214 yr Who cares about the overworked bullpen? Dusty will just go down and get a few more scrubs if he needs them. Frazier hit .291 with 5 HRs and 15 RBIs in spring training and they gave him a vote of confidence by trading Francisco and then right before the season starts they say go down to Louisville and wait your turn. Dusty has his boys on the bench in Harris and Cairo and how's that working out for them? Now mind you I like Cairo and he has been very productive for them but he's not getting any younger and when do you give Frazier a chance? Can he play left and hit any worse than Ludwick has so far? Dusty is not the one who claimed Simon from Baltimore. Frazier is batting .188 at AAA. Do you really think he would help? If you do then you need a reality check.

Nobody is saying that this or that player should be brought up or got screwed. The makeup of this team is not what everyone had such high hopes for before the season started. We all knew that we had problems in left field and at 3rd base and I don't think they have been addressed properly. I understand that but how do you know he didn't play a big part in getting the bullpen help? As far as Frazier I think his bubble got burst and he's having problems dealing with it. Let's both hope so and hope that he gets his head straightened out quickly because we both know that Rolen is going to need backup probably sooner than later.

If that's the case than it is his fault. You'll never convince me that Dusty Baker is the right manager for this team and apparently some of his staff may not be pulling their weight as far as preparation goes. Maybe Dusty is too laid back for the job. We'll see what happens at the end of the year. There are good young managers out there that deserve a shot at his job and I only hope they get the chance sooner more than later. As for the averages I agree they "should" even out but if so this team is maybe a .500 team again.

Let's hope they can get this bad streak turned around today as it doesn't get any easier going to St Louis. Dusty Baker had never seen Simon pitch before. Do you think he is going to make a deal for a guy he has never seen pitch and then cut Frazier? That was Jocketty. The following are all very clearly Jocketty moves - Madson, Marshall, Latos, Rolen, Ludwick and the veterans on the bench - Harris and Alvarez. The roster is on Jocketty. If you don't like the players that are here, Jocketty wears 75% or more of that. Dusty is playing the hand he is given.
