The United States' Sexual Misconduct Calamity #MeToo

This can't be pinned on just "Hollywood" anymore, with claims coming against powerful individuals in all industry.

Several of my favorite actors/personalities have become embroiled in the whole scandal. Some of the latest developments involving 2 women coming forward with claims against Tom Brokaw, 8 women coming forward with claims against Morgan Freeman, and Harvey Weinstein now in custody facing official rape charges.

How does the #MeToo movement change the way you approach your day-to-day interactions with others?

Do you think there's any reason there haven't been many professional athletes with accusations being made against them since the start of the #MeToo movement?

Moving forward, is do you see any change in the way professional sports leagues handle things with players who have had accusations made and/or convictions on sexual misconduct charges?

Does the list of people charged in the #MeToo movement make any changes in the movies or television that you watch, the news outlets you follow, the music you listen to, etc? Should it?

Another question: Should individuals who have allegations that are found to be true be able to "come back" after what they did? Obviously there shouldn't be any expectation for folks who have been raping or assaulting others to be welcomed back into positions of power, but what about folks who have been making off-color comments or things like that?

Each situation is unique and should be treated as such. I’m curious to see what kind of success some of them have going forward. I think some will never recover and others may come back but will never be as famous or successful as they previously were.

I knew there were some very sketchy folks out there but the mentality that so many men have had is pretty disgusting. It’s not hard at all to treat a woman with respect.

I think professional athletes have been under scrutiny for a longer time than the main culprits of that lost. We hear about professional athletes and sexual assault cases more frequently so I think that plays into why we haven’t heard many professional athletes in relation to #MeToo .

I haven’t changed much as far as what music I listen to or what movies or tv shows that I watch. I kind of just wait to see whose next to lose my respect.

The Roman Polanski scandal has bothered me for a long time too...the number of actors and actresses who are "honored" to get to make a movie with him. He's a pedophile that should have done jail time.

If I remember correctly when he won the Best Director Oscar for The Piano he of course wasn’t in LA to accept it and whoever did implied that he was being unfairly persecuted.
