1. John Hardin (13-3): John had a home blowout win, and then they lost a game in the Mustang Madness. They beat Meade County 90-62 and lost to Mayfield in the Mustang Madness 71-64. John was without Malik Wright in the loss versus Mayfield. Wright will be out another game due to an ejection. Mickey Pearson did his part like usual, as he had 33 and 12 versus Mayfield. Pearson has continued to dominate, and he looks to be the favorite for 5th region player of the year.

2. Larue County (13-1): The Hawks have a 7-game winning streak, after winning both games this week. They won two road games as they beat Campbellsville 76-66 and beat district opponent Green County 58-54. Larue continues to win, and the only hiccup they have had this year was John Hardin, at John Hardin. Shane King scored 23 vs Green County. He started off the year sluggish after playing football, but King has really played well lately. Larue will need King to make a run at a region title.

3. Elizabethtown (8-5): The Panthers beat a 5th region opponent this week, but also lost a heartbreaker to a district rival. They beat Taylor County, at Taylor County 79-56 and lost to Central Hardin 53-52. The Central loss was a disappointing loss, as any district loss is, but E-town should still be okay. Tyler Durbin had 29 points vs Taylor County, showing he is more than just a football player. Panthers have struggled lately though, as they are 2 and 4 in their last 6 games.

4. Adair County (7-6): The Indians only played one game this week, and they got a win on the road. Adair beat Barren at Barren, by the score of 78-65. A good win for Adair, as it is their best win of the year so far. Zion Harmon was great like usual vs Barren, as he had 31 points. The Freshmen phenom is one of the state leaders in points this year, at 32.2 points per game.

5. Central Hardin (10-4): What a week the Bruins had, as they got two road district wins. They beat North Hardin 53-42 and beat Elizabethtown in an upset 53-52. Bruins lost to E-town earlier this year by 20, but they came back and got a huge road win. Central Hardin had the best week of any 5th region team, and they are playing like they could be the surprise team of the 5th region. Jacob Hobbs is leading Central Hardin in points and rebounds this year.

6. North Hardin (5-10): The Trojans played two district games this week, and went 1 and 1. The Trojans lost to Central Hardin 53-42, and then they bounced back beating Fort Knox 51-33. North is a team that goes way further than their record. Out of their 10 losses, 5 of those losses were to teams who have been ranked in top 20 of state. A lot of those games have been down to the wire as well. Once North plays more 5th region games, they will have to earn some more wins to show how good they are.

7. Marion County (9-7): Marion went 1 and 1 this week. They got a win versus Sayre 74-66 and lost at Washington County 74-65. The Knights lost to Washington without big man Jamison Epps down low. Lez Means had 21 in the win versus Sayre. Means has been fantastic, and leads the Knights in scoring averaging 19.9. He has proven he is an all-region player.

8. Washington County (9-9): What a week for Washington, as they won all 3 home games this week. They beat district foe Bardstown 55-49, another district opponent Bethlehem 64-53, and beat Marion County 74-65. Washington has played well this year, but lost a lot of close games. This week should provide a lot of confidence for Washington County. Cameron Willis who just scored 1,000 points for his career, is their leading scorer this year, by averaging 18.9 points per game.

9. Bardstown (8-6): The Tigers played two district games this week, and went 1 and 1 in those contests. They lost at Washington County 55-49 and beat Nelson County at home 74-48. Since James Brewer has been at Bardstown, they are not used to losing district games. Good news for the Tigers, is that they are still 3 and 1 in district play this year. Dsamuel Butler has led the Tigers in scoring this year, with 11.7 points per game.

10. Caverna (7-8): They had a good week, as they won both games this week. They beat Bethlehem in a high scoring game 89-81, and beat district opponent Hart County 78-69 in overtime. Caverna is red hot as they have won 4 straight games. Jobby Howard had 30 versus Bethlehem. The senior guard can fill it up, as he is averaging 29.1 points per game this year, a very underrated player.

11. Green County (5-7): Green lost their only game this week, but was very competitive vs a good Larue County team. Green has lost 3 of 4. Senior Isaac Young has led Green this year, by averaging 12.4 points per game.

12. Campbellsville (7-8): The Eagles went 1 and 1 this week, including a big overtime win over their rival. They played Larue tough, who is a top 5th region team. They have been led in scoring by Nataj Sanders, who is averaging 12.2 points per game.

13. Taylor County (2-10): The Cardinals lost all three games this week, including an overtime district loss. Cardinals continue to struggle this year. Trevon Smith has led the Cardinals averaging 20.6 points per game.

14. Bethlehem (5-7): Lost both games this week, including their first district loss of the year. They are 3 and 1 in district so far. Chase Allen has led Bethlehem in scoring this year, averaging 18.9 points per game.

15. Hart County (6-8): The Raiders lost their only game this week in overtime, versus a district opponent. Hart is currently 1 and 3 in their district. John Shoulders leads Hart, by scoring 20.0 points per game.

16. Nelson County (4-11): Nelson lost both games on the road this week, including a district loss. Nelson County is currently 1-3 in their district this year.

17. Thomas Nelson (2-13): They lost both games this week. They are currently 0-4 in district play.

18. Fort Knox (1-8): Lost their only game this week, which was a road district game. Fort Knox is 0-3 in district play this year. Jonah Butts has led them by scoring 11.4 points per game.
