They did not practice? That will not be a good thing. Rock plays a different defense than everyone else and little practice time will not = good results. :confused:

RoadRunner avaliable athletes in the area and on the team, sorry I did not clarifiy. Granted you still have to coach those kids and get them football ready, that in which HHS does as well as anyone in the state. I have great respect for the HHS football family in most regards. If you think urban areas don't have an advantage you are sadly mistaken. I have coached in both areas and trust me they are not the same in many fashions. Back to the thread topic, the lack of speed JC has will be a turning point in the playoffs. They are well coached and play extremely hard but have some limitations.

3 according to the KHSAA who is the ruling body in Ky High School Athletics. EKY teams are hard pressed to compete with Highland's numbers and plus they have some pretty good coaching. I always enjoyed watching Coach Duffy's teams. They played hard nosed football.

1-0 in 2004 forfiet game. Don't know about the others can't remember the scores. I think they both regular season games were in the Thoroughbred bowl.

No Bell beat them 3 times. 2 times in the regular season (90 and 93 maybe???) and 1 in 2004 playoffs 1 to 0. :madman:

:thumb: Whitley will win the region. Mercer got beat by Rockcastle 2 weeks ago Whitley manhandled Rock last week. HHS will beat JCHS, WC and then Owensboro in the finals. I hope JC or WC can pull off the major upset but it will be hard to do.

Hard to be 1 dimensional against HHS. They are too good. The Belly offense in which JC runs may give HHS some problems b/c they are so aggressive but in the long run JC will not be able to stop the Birds offensively. It will be a very entertaining game for a while. I would love to see JC pull it off but it will be a huge hill to climb.

They should be competitive with anybody in the region. Inside play should be improved this year with some kids being a year older. Coach Morris will get the most of his teams at all times. Should be a fun year.

Totally different situation 3wishes. The kid from Bell was a back-up player that was a senior. Transfered to Bell as a Freshman and played 4 years for Bell. After the Bell/M'boro game his senior year the M'boro administration announced that he was enrolled at M'boro for a week and withdrew from school 5 years before making him a 5 year HS student. What was going to be his Freshman year at M'boro the player was involved in a motorcycle accident in the first week of school. Due to his injuries he could not go to school so the next year he entered Bell as a Freshman. B/C he was an incoming freshman and just 14 they thought he was free to play. Bell forfeited the games played up until that point of the season and the player was no longer with the team. They did not get in injunction or fight the ruling they took that punishment and moved on. Bell went on to win the State Championship. It simply made the Bell/M'boro games that much more exciting the next few years. :thumb:

One of the better ones I have seen in few years. Big kid 6'3" 240. Very strong, runs really well (guessing 4.8 range), and plays in high gear all the time.

I didn't think they were running much of the 3 back set this year?? Or at least what I have saw of them they have had Hayes and a FB Saylor (maybe??) only in the backfield?

Low class is playing ineligable players IMO while knowing the outcome. :fire:
