Glad to hear Coach Steve Payne still recognizes quality Kentucky talent.

I wasn't there, but this is how I understand it happened. The game was played at Western Hills.

He is a 7 foot sophomore who seems to be getting better with every game.

My guess is that the school wasn't able to make the parking lot and sidewalks safe and they didn't want to risk the liability. I would also guess that Lafayette may have had an issue getting permission to travel. Fayette is pretty funny about allowing travel on a night when school isn't in session. Just my assumptions. I have no insider info on why the decisions were made.

They have rescheduled the finals to be played tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon. Girls final 1:00 Scott Co v Clay Co Boys Final 2:30 Scott Co v Henderson Co

Not having Hatton will also be a factor in those decisions.

Scott Co pretty much dominated from the tip. Male cut it to 8 at half time when Scott Co had some kids on the bench with two fouls, but it was all Cards in the second half. The 7' kid is getting better and better. He had 6 or 7 blocks and altered several more shots. PG Matt Murray hurt his ankle early in the game. Hopefully nothing serious.

This one was close for a little bit but Scott Co was too strong in the end. I was really impressed with Martini. He continues to improve and emerge as the emotional leader of the team. Gilbert is really good. He doesn't force anything and is unselfish but still gets his by putting himself in the right place. He has a great feel for the game. Long still has a way to go but he is HUGE. Has good hands. But has to learn to play with more intensity to be what Coach Hicks wants him to be. Scott Co's depth isn't the greatest, but their first 5 or 6 could take them a long way in the tournament.

Clyde, the one about the inbounder not being subject to a traveling violation but rather a spot violation... Is there a different signal for that violation? I have seen officials signal traveling when the inbounder leaves the spot/runs the baseline when he had to be on a spot.

Josh Cook has done a great job at Lawrence Co so far. This is a big win for Lawrence - upset or not.

Stenzel should be on there. Don't know how I overlooked him on my list. Another kid I really thought was good was Jalen Daniels. I'm surprised Trevor Setty isn't getting more consideration. He was a stud. Still is. Won a national championship at Pikeville and now plays professionally overseas I believe.
