  1. DeMatteo came into the game as QB in the third quarter with Godsey in for a few more plays. DeMatteo was only QB for a short while then Menkhaus played the rest of the game as QB.
  2. In the game against SK Dixie had a different QB play most of the game and both QB's had never played varsity ball, they were both out most of last year with injuries. I think the team has improved since Dixie played SK, which was the second game of the year. In the Conner game Dixie was right their with Conner the whole game and West was not injured till late in the third quarter. Hopefully the Dixie team will come out and surprise some people.
  3. How did Dylan McGuire do?
  4. Come on guys why do you have to talk like this, your varsity team always wins and by a lot against many different teams. The Varsity team had nothing to do with the plays made by the freshman coaches.
  5. Did West play tonight?
  6. I thought he was second string so I think Dixie played the Highlands second string, why would they put in the third string and not give second string varsity playing time?
  7. My husband said score 32-0 Dixie at halftime
  8. Is QB Wil Bardo for Highlands second or third string since he was the QB against Dixie after Tony Guidugli was taken out?
  9. Sorry to hear about all the injuries, Conner played a great game, very impressed with Michael Gill #6, made some great catches and had a great run which was called back because of holding if I remember correctly. It was a close game back and forth until the end when things started to fall apart. Good luck to both teams in the future.
  10. I saw Alex at the Dixie Highlands game on Friday. I was wondering the same thing.
  11. Dixie has 7 seniors and I think about 4 that start.
  12. Cramping comes from a lack of hydration/electrolytes. My son was cramping at the CovCath game and he does not drink carbonated beverages and drinks water constantly. He is also in very good shape. It was a very hot day and many Cov Cath players were cramping too. Does Cov Cath have 2 a days in the summer? I know that the Dixie team did a lot more running and conditioning this summer than ever before.
  13. Congratulations to Cov Cath from a Dixie parent. You all won and that's what counts. I am so proud of the Dixie boys. They are a young team with only a few returning starters and they played their heart out, when no one thought they had a chance. They are working the kinks out and can only get better. Good luck to both teams.
  14. I wish him all the best and hope that he does make it back as soon as is mentioned. It would be a shame to miss out on his senior year.
  15. My son broke his fibula last year at the end of September and with healing and therapy was not cleared until the end of January. Four week seems very hard to believe.
  16. Ryan Wilson is the starting QB and also one of the captains.
  17. The Dixie freshmen team is looking solid. They have size at the line and treats at RB and WR. From what I hear its going to be one of the best freshmen class to go through Dixie with the exception of O'Toole's and Preston's teams
  18. I think you're thinking of the wrong guy.
  19. Ryan Zumdick a soph at Dixie. Tore his ACL last year but has great talent and likes to hit. He will definately get some varsity time this year at linebacker.
  20. I do know that Fightmaster quit after about 2 or 3 games because he did not get to play
  21. Dixie should have a pretty good team in the next year or so after all the players return. They had so many injured players on the JV level this year and the sophomores had a great season as freshman that I think they will have a good team by the time the sophomores are seniors. They beat Beechwood once and almost beat Conner without a QB since we had no QB due to a broken leg in the Conner game.
  22. Dixie has many talented sophomores with several starting for varsity and many who did not play all season due to injuries. To name a few Josh Raleigh, Ben Wolfe, Ben Haggerty, Joel Lubrauno, Wes Smith, Corey Klei, Stephen Zumdick and Ryan Wilson the up and coming QB. They should have a good team if all can stay injury free next year.
