I agree 100% with your post. Montgomery split two games this past summer with Lawrence and I'd rank Montgomery anywhere from 3-5 in the 10th region this year. Lawrence, without Shepard on the mound, may have a hard time getting out of district if they have to face either Johnson Central or Paintsville in their first game. Don't get me wrong, Lawrence will be a very good team, just not as good without Shepard on the mound.

Tommy John surgery this past summer on his throwing arm. Glad to here he's doing well, but he will not be pitching this high school season.

Congrats Mason, represent the 10th well at Rupp. This loss should make GRC even hungrier next year.

During my school days in the 16th region we played the regional tournament my freshman year at Boyd Middle and then the AAC was built at Morehead (showing my age). My remaining three years the region was held at Morehead St. AAC and has remained there. My point is, from a playing experience there was NO comparison. :thumb:

Harrison Co. and West Jessamine should be in the top 10.

If this happens you move the 10th region tournament to the BOK, neutral site and close enough for everyone.

I had talked to Coach Murphy last year when MC played there and he said there were plans for a new back stop and bleachers. I guess that hasn't happened yet?

Mason County is scheduled for 2010, but their field has to pass inspection by the KHSAA. If Mason's field doesn't meet the KHSAA guideline to host the Regional Tournament I thank it move on to next school in line to host and that would be George Rogers Clark. Former Montgomery County player and current Morehead State shortstop was named one of the top 10 returning seniors in college baseball by Rivals on January 14, 2010.
