No, but thats not a requirement to host a district tournament. They'll play one game each afternoon. Any one know the 40th district schedule yet?

Final from the Tanner Dodge Tournament at Powell Co. Montgomery jumped out to a 4-0 in the top of 1st and never looked back. Chad Ginter goes the distance for MC and gets the win.

Not set just yet, if Bourbon wins by 4 or more over GRC each of the three teams will have lost 2 games. Bourbon would have the tiebreaker over GRC by 1 run. GRC has the tiebreaker by 1 run over MC and MC has the tiebreaker over BC by one run. So, if this sequence happens, who's the one seed?

Justine Martin got the start and went 6 1/3 (I think). Jimmy Castaneda finished the 6th and Jesse Watkins threw the 7th.

Final from Mt. Sterling. The 40th district just got interesting. MC, BC and GRC with one loss each. MC comes out flat and gets down early 3-0. Battled back to tie it at 3. Then give up 3 runs in the 6th. Although BC had 4 errors, they made some great defensive plays when it mattered. Congrats BC on the win. Disappointing loss for the Indians after a win over a very good Woodford Co. team. BC R 6 H 9 E 4 MC R 3 H 6 E 3

What position did Johnson play against Montgomery Co?

MC had 5 errors in the Scott Co. game, LOB was 8, still to many errors to beat good teams.

PC jumps out to a 5-0 lead after two innings. MC makes a come back, but PC holds on for the win. Brewer pitched a complete game for the win. MC seemed to be flat today and just couldn't get it going. I disagree; I think the district games are important for seeding purposes. Ask Bourbon if they would've rather played Paris last year. I will not let myself look that far ahead until that game is next on our schedule. :lol:

Why do throw Bennett for 7 1/3, then bring in your 6th or 7th best pitcher to close out an important District game? :confused:

Final from Mt. Sterling. Ty Combs started for MC and goes 4 2/3 innings, leaving the game tied 2-2. Matt Eversole comes in and gets the win. Ty Combs gets the game winning hit in the bottom of the 8th. Taylor Potter and Ty Combs 1 RBI each, MC's other run scored on wild pitch. Big Distract win for the Indians, who are now 3-0 in District play. Even Bennett threw for GRC and went 7 1/3 giving up only 2 hits. Great game Evan :thumb: Bennett and Barker both had 2B for GRC. Bennett 1 RBI, GRC's other run was UE. Not sure of the young mans name, I think he's an 8th grader that started 3rd, he was 3-5 and has a very nice stroke from the left side of the plate. Thank you for pointing that out. Don't get me wrong, I think it's fun for the kids who get to play on smaller fields an hit a home run every now and then. We've had kids the past four times we've played there that have hit home runs and have yet to hit one out of our field and it is a legit 325 down the lines and 380 to center. Just saying, if Mason's field is 330 down the lines, then the air is thiner in Maysville than Denver. :lol:

Pitching match up will be the key here. I look for MC to throw Combs or Potter and GRC to throw Bennett. Should be a good game and best of luck to both teams.
