Dixie will be #1 in the 9th Region..

I don't think Lexington Christian should be there. But, regardless, a pretty nice list and I think Lexington Catholic will be good again. They have such a crop of young kids that will contribute (we're talking Sophomores and Juniors) that I think they could make a legitimate run once again. I think Lafayette could be substituted for Lex Christian. They have a very deep pitching staff and will surprise some people in the 11th.

Think South Laurel may be a little high. PRP should be a tad higher. Overall a pretty good list. Don't forget to mention Greenwood, Owensboro Catholic, and Owensboro. Also, Bryan Station has a couple nice arms to make some noise.

Beechwood isn't 12.

I don't think Beechwood or Cov Cath would be considered in the top 25 in the state. No disrespect to them but they may not even be top five in N KY.

Beechwood is very overrated. Too many question marks at this point and time. CovCath also lost a lot but they generally reload and contend like they always do so at this time I saw they are slightly overrated. They could crack the top 25 later as they progress. Right now I'd say Dixie is the #1 team in the 9th and should be the highest ranked from there.

Im guessing this is strictly just because of last years results and not expectations for the upcoming season. Cov Cath an Beechwood will be lucky to each have 20 wins this season. Personally I think the Beechies might struggle to be .500

You're right to a certain degree. Beechwood won with a relatively young team but relied heavily on the arm of Smith (who was a senior). Also losing Snyder behind the plate, Hyde in center, and Larrimore at short will be extremely detrimental to the offensive aspect. Beechwood will need to step it up in a big way in order to contend again this year.

I think you have Danville a little low. They won the 12th region last year and have 7 starters back. You have two 12th region teams ahead of the in West Jessamine at #5 and Mercer at #19. Danville went 2-0 against West and 1-0 against Mercer.

When does they Coaches pre-season poll come out? Should be pretty soon.

Very accurate. No way either are worthy of a top 25 billing preseason. Their inclusion is based totally off last year's performance, which has little to do with this upcoming season.
