No excuses, but we did lose to the top team in state... 3 other regions did as well. Louisville Butler was so good that they won the state tourny championship without their best player. Also I think that last year the first region girls drew Lexington Catholic, so bad draws 2 years in a row doesn't help...

Conner vs. Henderson County predictions
meagi replied to Cardinal Fan's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
Henderson is very talented. I think they will win by 10. Played both this year, but watch point gaurd, center, and wing player, they are a very good team. -
I missed alot of the game, but why was Bradley not in the game the last 12 minutes of second half?

down 13 with 3:00 to play

IU down 11 with 4:00 to play

Patterson could be the saving grace for UK this year. He remindes me of Mashburn, maybe to early to tell, but he is very talented for a Freshman.
-
Wow, IU is in trouble 61-45, IU can't rebound
-
Patterson also had 5 assists, good showing from the Cats! Hope they continue to get better

The sixth and ninth rated player in the first region are the same player?

Lone Oak quarterback breaks national record!
meagi replied to firstregionking's topic in KY Football (High School)
How Tall is he? Is there any big schools looking at him. Also he should be looked at as a Mr. Football canadite, for the lone reason he set the new national record for TD passes! What else can he do? -

Rutgers player sues Imus, CBS Radio for damaging reputation
meagi replied to BoondockSaint's topic in College Basketball
This comment has no disrespect to any of the rutgers players that were hurt by Imus statements, but as a business owner this is why insurance is so high for a company. It only takes one person to underscore what a company stands for. I wish this girl, the best, but this story is over, and no body remembers her name. So why does she think she is owed something. Just my opinion -

Eastern Ky Teams in Top 25?
meagi replied to sidelinecoach's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Kentucky just got a verbal from a big man from Rose Hill and on that thread alot of people talked about a Jackson kid, why is Rose Hill not the favorite. Not from that part of state, but curious why people don't think they have a chance? -
Maybe Billy G. new reguits will help the guards that are already in place. Maybe not a top 25 team to start, but I really do think we will be that by season end. Talent has been upgraded, and I also think the players already on the team will work harder to become NBA ready. Do you all agree!

Randy McCoy at University Heights?
meagi replied to westsider's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Wow, I know that all the class A schools in the second region, just hope that UHA does not get back to the status they had in the last part of last century. Impossible to beat! At that point in time privite versus public was not even a possibilty. What should be done to make private schools that win every year a Class A tournament? At that time they had 5 starters that started their first year at a D1 School. And plenty that made pro status! For these young kids sake, give a seperate tournament for public and private schools, and make rules for transfers -
Setting it straight on LCA and Nicholas County
meagi replied to Option Right's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
Lets think about the percentage of public versus private schools. In the state of Kentucky probably 30 to 1, just a guess. With that being said your logic does not make sense!
